Chapter 8 - chapter 8 (Renee )

Raven:

After Renee left, I headed to the elevator and returned to my apartment.

I opened the door, entered quickly, and closed it behind me. The first thing I did was take out the items from my jacket.

I placed the katana and the gun in a safe place and put the notebook on the table.

Then I went to the bathroom to take a shower.

A few minutes later, I came out wearing short black pants and a sleeveless black shirt.

I lay on the bed, thinking.

"Renee… I've heard that name before.

But where? And when?"

I searched my memory, but due to the fusion of the two memories, many of them had been lost.

I didn't think too much about it since I couldn't remember now.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

. . . . . . . . . .

In an alley on the outskirts of the city:

A girl with pink hair, with a few purple strands, and red eyes stood there.

She was very beautiful, wearing a sleeveless black dress, but what made her even more attractive was the blood staining it, adding a touch of red.

That girl was Renee.

More precisely… the Saint of Death.

Renee wore a wide smile, her red eyes shining with cold amusement as she looked around.

Many people lay in pools of blood.

In the center stood a bald man in formal clothes, now stained with blood.

His left arm was missing, and his right hand held a sword.

"Hmm…"

"This is getting boring."

Renee's smile faded as she looked at the man kneeling on one knee.

She slightly moved her finger, and purple threads began to ripple around it.

With that simple motion, countless threads appeared around the man, slicing him apart.

"Hehe…"

"I'm finally done with my work."

Renee smiled proudly, her beautiful face stained with a bit of blood.

She glanced around, more precisely toward a corner that seemed invisible.

"Aren't you coming out?"

"Or do you want to end up like them?"

She smiled again, staring into the darkness.

After a moment, a short man stepped out, clearly terrified.

"Lady Renee, please… spare me!" he begged, kneeling before her.

She looked at him briefly before losing interest.

"Did your master send you?"

"Yes… yes, my lady," he answered in a trembling voice.

"Didn't I say I hate being watched?" It wasn't a question—it was a threat.

The air around her trembled, and pressure spread toward the man, making him sweat and sink into the grounds

She looked at him with interest, but when she saw he couldn't speak, she continued:

"Fine. Tell your master to give proper

compensation… or we'll come hunt him as well."

She smiled again, her red eyes gleaming.

The man couldn't respond—he couldn't even open his mouth.

After a few minutes, he raised his head with difficulty and let out a sigh of relief when he realized Renee was gone.

But just as he was about to stand, space rippled beside him, and a purple thread wrapped around his right arm.

Slash.

His arm was severed, and blood poured out.

He screamed—but no one answered.

. . . . . . . . . .

Fifty meters away, Renee smiled slightly.

"The job is done… let's head back."

As she thought, she couldn't help but remember Raven's expressionless face.

"Hehe…"

"Interesting."

"We'll meet often, Raven… I'm sure of it."

Her red eyes gleamed as she let out a cold laugh, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.
