After letting out a loud laugh that sounded like a third-rate villain, my face turned slightly red and I quickly closed my mouth.

I checked my status screen again.

This time, I focused on my condition.

[Health Condition: Vitality Drain / Tired / Minor Injuries]

First, I looked at "Vitality Drain." This was a health problem Raven had, and it was the main reason he reached this level of strength.

He had pushed his body through training to the point that it caused his vitality to be drained.

Hatred had driven him to the edge of madness.

It is a bit ridiculous to talk about myself like this

.

But I know myself—I am a mixture of both.

Well, it doesn't matter now.

I thought while looking at the other conditions: [Tired] and [Minor Injuries].

The first was the result of the effort I had put in.

The second was due to the Eye of Truth.

I sighed as I thought again about how dangerous it was.

I forced my scattered thoughts away and shook my head.

I checked the time and realized it was later than I expected.

After returning the katana to its original form—the black ring—I placed the small notebook from the copper chest inside my jacket and left the cabin

Inhale…

Exhale…

"Ah… I missed this refreshing breeze," I thought while breathing in the clean air.

Although there were factories and such, a barrier had been developed to purify the city air, keeping it clean.

After a few minutes, I left the forest and headed back toward the city.

I stopped in front of a small food stall on my way back.

The owner was a middle-aged man with some white hair on his head.

The one serving food was his daughter—a very young girl.

I stared at the scene for a moment.

Even though I was in another world,

people still worked from morning to earn their living.

A young girl, instead of going to school, was helping her father.

I stayed in thought until the girl brought me my food.

I snapped out of it and smiled slightly at the girl, who was looking at me curiously.

"Brother, here is your meal." I could see the cold breath coming out of her mouth.

My smile widened slightly, and I patted her head while thanking her.

The girl smiled happily in return, and her father called her to serve the next customer.

"Brother, I have to go." The girl said with a bell-like voice, smiling with crescent-shaped eyes.

The little girl walked away.

After I looked away from her, I finished my meal and went to the middle-aged man to pay.

I handed him a silver coin. The meal cost four copper coins.

When he tried to return the change, I had already disappeared.

In the nearby alley, I smiled slightly while thinking about what happened.

I shook my head with a smile and looked at the time.

10:38 AM

Then I headed to the station.

A few minutes later,

I was standing in front of the apartment building where I live.

I entered and took the elevator. When the doors opened, I saw a girl about my age inside.

Her hair was light pink with a few purple strands.

Her dark red eyes looked like shining gemstones.

A small smile and a cold gaze, with a face that looked like a succubus you couldn't resist.

She wore black clothes and carried a small bag.

I stared for a moment before regaining my senses.

I shook my head slightly and looked at her, giving her space to leave.

But she stayed inside the elevator, looking at me curiously.

"Sorry, are you the new resident on the third floor?" she asked with a charming, lively voice, her eyes forming crescent shapes.

"Yes?" I replied in confusion, tilting my head slightly.

"Nice to meet you. I live in the apartment next to yours."

"You can call me Renee."

"Nice to meet you, Raven."

"Raven?" she tilted her head while looking at me.

"My name."

"Oh, that's a nice name." She returned to her smile.

"Thanks," I replied, feeling that the conversation was a bit strange.

"Goodbye, Raven." Renee left the elevator and waved.

"Hmm," I muttered quietly.

I watched her as she walked away
