Both of them just stood frozen... Staring at each other like they were lost in time.
' who's that?' she thought in a daze.
'no wonder Francis is love brained. I think I've been struck. I can't breath properly ' Ethan thought as he confidently walked up to her
"Hello nice to meet you, I'm Francis's friend. Ethan." He said stretching out his hand for a handshake which she accepted while introducing herself as well.
"Hi, I'm Aura. Nice to meet you too." She said with a smile.
And just while they were having a genuine moment....
" Have you gotten to know each other yet?" Francis asked smirking, his eyes dancing with mirth. " Isn't she great?" He said again putting his arms around her neck and pulling her closer.
"She... She is." Ethan said lost.
"Stop goofing around there are other things that should be done right?" Aura asked after recovering herself. She felt surreal. The attraction she felt towards him was something she didn't have with any other man. Perhaps it was because Francis was her first boyfriend. Yes! But it felt like it was a whole lot more than just that. Like he was perfect. But she barely knew him yet. Is he... Her crush now? Is this how it feels like to have a crush. Having a crush on your boyfriend's Best friend didn't seem all okay. But even as they walked to the founder's office for the final phase of her registration process, before classes begin she couldn't bring herself to stop thinking of him. Especially his striking baby pink lips, fair skin, blue eyes, silver blonde hair, small but sharp nose which was cute and a contrast to the rest of his face that screamed Save Me. Francis kept talking the rest of the way though and she was only half listening and responding.
Ethan however was silently observing her. The uniform did hide her figure but he could see it, imagine it though it could only be seen for about thirty to fourty percent. She was following Francis tak about school and the central city but his eyes and attention were on her. He felt like she could feel it, but he couldn't bring himself to stop. At this moment he felt like a creep despite Francis being in between them. But she was a sight to behold for him. Everyone else around him tried they were beautiful too, but he felt they put so much effort in their appearance. However she looked so effortlessly simple and stunning at the same time. She only had lip gloss on and maybe a mascara, her lips were a deep shade of pink, red almost. Her hair was light brown and wavy and her eyes were obsidian.
At some point it seemed she was paying less and less attention to what was being said, although I humored my dear friend and brother by answering to all his questions including those without meaning I was getting irritated by my very own exhaustion at these questions and small conversations. And I think she was, so when he asked her what she thought of the school the second time, I knew I had to stop him from embarrassing himself...
"Frank I think you should give her a break, you've talked about a lot and we're getting close to the founder's building. " Ethan said exasperated.
"Oh right"
"Yeah" Aura said in response, glancing at Ethan with a smile that said her thanks. He caught it, and smiled in response.
The founder is the man who single-handedly with his families resources created a school that was for high society. He was called the founder but his name was Mr. William Ford.
People from high society couldn't go to local schools for various reasons, the most important being threats and kidnapping that went on during wars, protest and even from bandits and fellow elites with a grudge. He built it in in his early 30's. And now the school was and it's 50s.
Soon enough, they arrived in front of his office and knocked. They got a response to comment and walking to the office.
"Well welcome my Prince, duke Francis and..." The founder said looking at aura who was surprised.
' he's the prince. Why didn't he say so?' she thought in shock.
Ethan tapped her.
"And you are?"
" Oh I'm sorry kind sir, I'm Aura Sinclair. Nice to make your acquaintance. " She said elegantly.
"Oh your Mr. Sinclair's daughter... That's a surprise, I knew you looked familiar. Just like your mom." He said with a laugh.
"You know my dad?" She asked surprised.
"Yes I do. Boys please step outside for her interview to begin."
"Yes sir" Francis said giving Aura a silent nod before leaving.
"Just to have your word, I trust that you will make an exception Mr. William?" Ethan said raising an eyebrow.
"Oh okay. Worry not my Prince" the founder said with a smirk as he left the office to wait with Francis outside.
"Well then, Miss Aura let's begin....
