I was really nervous. I was going to his house for the very first time… and I hadn't even told Zinnia about it. In fact, I hadn't talked to her since that day.
I rang the doorbell.
A staff member opened the door.
The moment I stepped inside, I was amazed. The house was huge—way bigger than I had imagined.
Damn… is Steve a millionaire or what? I thought.
Just then, I saw Steve coming down the stairs.
He was wearing a cute pink shirt.
Huh… pink looks so good on him.
"Hey, El! Thanks again," he said.
Dammit! He gave me a nickname… and why is he looking so damn good? I thought to myself.
"El? Can't you hear me? What are you thinking, dumbo?" he asked.
"Oh, sorry! I was just thinking about something," I replied.
"You have a really big house. Are you a millionaire or what?" I asked.
"Do you wanna live here forever?" he said.
Wait… is he flirting with me? What's happening, God? I got lost in my thoughts again.
"Come, let me show you the dance room," he said.
When I saw the dance room, I was stunned. It was at least three times the size of my bedroom.
"Do you like it?" he asked.
"Well, as far as I know, we're here for practice, not chatting. So let's start," I replied.
"Hear the song first, dumbo," he said.
"Would you please stop calling me dumbo?" I asked.
"No, of course not," he replied.
The song started playing.
It was amazing. His music taste… was actually really good.
"So, do you like this song, El?" he asked.
"Yes. I used to dance to this when I was a kid," I replied.
"Cool. Let's start the practice then."
We practiced for a few hours.
"I think I should go now. It's already 7:00 p.m. My mom would kill me if I get late," I said.
"I'll drop you," he replied.
"No, I can go by myself," I said.
"Stop arguing, El," he insisted.
I agreed.
And there it was… that bike again.
A sudden flashback of that rainy night hit me.
I quietly sat behind him.
If you want, I can continue the next scene (maybe something intense or emotional happens on the bike ride 👀)
