Chapter 11 - Chapter 9: Was Sarina really alright?

Staring at the beautiful building named 'Sunrise Hotel' on the screen, Adrian and Clara glanced at Sarina with confusion and questions clear in their eyes.

"This is your great idea? A hotel!? We do what with it? Build a new one? It is definitely way out of our budget sweetheart."

Adrian inquisitively asked, trying his best not to scoff at the ridiculous idea and hurt his daughter's feelings.

Clara also agreed completely with her husband's opinion. They may not be that knowledgeable but they definitely knew that building a hotel from scratch was not something they could achieve.

"Sarina dear, we can't just go around and open a hotel just like that you know." Clara softly said, not wanting to dampen Sarina's joy and excitement.

What they didn't realize was that they were really underestimating Sarina's knowledge and negotiation skills she had developed in her previous life.

Looking at her parents' cautious expressions, Sarina bit her lip hard to stop herself from laughing out loud.

She obviously knew it better than her parents how expensive and hard it was to enter the hotel industry, which is why, she never even considered it as her first option.

Instead, she wanted to do something that had never happened in this world till now.

"You got it wrong mom and dad. I don't want to open a hotel. I want to open a resort."

Not taking her parents' word to heart, Sarina finally shared the idea that had been hovering in her mind for the entire month.

"Re…Resort!? What is that, Sarina?" Adrian asked; confused and curious by the new word Sarina just said.

"How should I explain it dad? See it like this, a fun and cozy place to go for holidays with friends and family to enjoy and find peace. It is like a hotel but not exactly a hotel."

Sarina tried her best to explain her idea in the simplest words she could come up with that Adrian and Clara could understand.

It didn't seem to work that well as Adrian and Clara were still looking at her with the same confusion as before.

Looking at confused faces of her parents, Sarina sighed with a smile but didn't give up.

"Think about it like this, we want to go for a family vacation somewhere and we decided to go to a place which had rooms like a hotel along with fun activities like swimming pools, artificial lake for boating, horse riding etc."

Sarina explained or at least tried to explain her vision in detail.

"Won't you would want to go there? With us or even you two alone for a romantic break?" Sarina seriously asked before passing them a teasing glance making Adrian and Clara's face go completely red.

Looking at how they happily got lost in their dreams of actually visiting such a place, Sarina smiled.

Sarina actually had this idea of open a resort when Angel told her the rewards for successfully skipping the grades; that 15 acres of land near the capital city.

The land may seem worthless now, but in less than 6 years, the value of lands at the suburb will multiply thousands of times when the real state industry will begin to flourish, greatly booming the country's economy.

Every piece of land currently considered as a waste by people and being sold off cheaply will soon become the gold that everyone will fight for.

Sarina plans to take advantage of this exact foolishness of people and buy as many lands as possible before they began to realize their actual worth.

And the start of that will be the resort, a very new concept to the world at this time but a very common luxury 10 years from now.

Sarina still remembered the wave of excitement and success, the first resort that was built five years from now got in her previous life. The company that built it became famous overnight and were considered to be one of the most powerful conglomerates till she died.

'But not this time. I will be the one to lead the resort industry to success. This resort will be the turning point of my life, paving paths to success for my parents and opening doors to my revenge.'

Sarina thought as she planned each step with precision and accuracy.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Sarina looked at her parents who were still on their imaginary honeymoon in the resort that hasn't even confirmed and sighed in amusement.

"Mom, dad. Back to the land please." Sarina teasingly called out, jolting them back to reality at last.

"Even if your idea is no doubt very appealing and I am very interested as well, we still don't know how and from where to start. Besides, none of us has any experience in such type of work."

Clearing his throat to cover his embarrassment, Adrian said, pointing out their shortcomings very clearly.

"Your dad is absolutely correct Sarina. And even if we do decide to go with your idea, it definitely is way more than what we can afford. The land alone will take away half of our money."

Clara solemnly reminded Sarina the problems that they will face ahead.

Sarina, though was already prepared for all these questions.

"I know that and I have the perfect solution for all of that. Firstly dad, I have looked into the available lands and their price ranges near the suburbs of the capital city and it will cost around $500,000 at maximum."

Looking at Adrian, Sarina started to list all the expenses that the resort will cost.

"The resort construction, interiors and everything will obviously cost around $10 million easily which is something we can't afford but our idea can definitely attract investors."

Sarina continued to speak, trying her best not to wince at her parents' grim and shocked expressions upon learning about the cost.

"Don't make such expressions please. Majority of our money problem can be easily solved by investors while still maintaining the overall control rights over the resort."

Sarina sighingly said; trying to calming them down.

"And where do you think we will even find such investors? And who will even look after all these things?" Adrian asked.

Sarina could easily depict how interested Adrian was in her idea but simply was being held back by his worries.

"For that, since both of you have your jobs here and can't really supervise all the work and our obvious lack of knowledge, we can hire someone who has experience in such type of management job, like a university graduate."

Sarina proposed, well aware how much respect her parents had for university graduated people.

"And where will we find such a person?" Clara asked, not really believing anyone would want to work for illiterate people like them.

"Don't underestimate yourself mom. I will never accept that. As for finding such a person, leave it to me. Three days and that person will be standing in front of you."

Sarina solemnly promised, her eyes burning with determination to make her vision come true in reality.

Influenced by their daughter's determination and courage, Adrian and Clara could also feel their blood burning with desire to step ahead and fight for their future.

"Ok then, if you really manage to bring someone that capable than your mother and I also promise to trust you and invest in this resort."

Adrian earnestly said making Sarina jump into his arms in delight.

"Ohhh thank you….thank you so much dad. I knew you would say yes. I love you dad."

Nestling happily in Adrian's arms, Sarina excitedly said, cheerfully pecking his cheek before running into Clara's awaiting arms and doing the same.

"Ok now. It's getting late. Go to sleep. We also have to go to your school tomorrow." Adrian lovingly said while caressing her hair and urging her to return to her room.

"Ok dad. Goodnight and sweet dreams to both of you." Nodding her head, Sarina sincerely wished them before joyfully running back to her room.

"Did we make the right decision Adrian?" Gazing at her daughter's door, Clara seriously asked as she glanced at her unusually quiet husband.

"I seriously don't know if we took the right decision or not. But I do know that even if were to happen all again, I would still have said yes just to see that smile on Sarina's face."

Casting a loving glance at his daughters' door last time, Adrian looked into Clara's curious eyes and calmly replied.

"I can't believe I am saying this but I actually agree with you. Today, I saw a shadow of something in Sarina I never saw before. The fire, that urge, the way she convinced us, it felt like...."

Clara tried to come up with the correct words to explain her emotions but simply couldn't.

"Like she had seen the world, like she understood it better than we do. Like she was ready to take the throne meant just for her."

Adrian said, completing the words that Clara didn't have the strength to say.

"Yeah. But that fire in her eyes scares me even further. It feels like those eyes had experienced hell and I was not by her side to protect her from that."

Chuckling, Clara said in agreement but stopped as she recalled those dead eyes of her daughter she saw that morning when Sarina broke down in her arms.

"You are tired dear and that is why over-thinking things. Sarina has just matured with her age, nothing more. It's getting late. We should sleep as well."

Adrian humorously said, pulling Clara to their room, trying to hide the worry he was feeling for Sarina in his eyes.

Laying down on the bed, they both couldn't sleep. Just a single thought reappearing again and again in their minds,

'Was Sarina really alright?'
