Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Aftermath

Silence.

Heavy.

Unnatural.

Sector 9… had changed.

The ground was broken.

Cracked.

Covered in blood.

Bodies scattered everywhere.

Monsters.

Dozens of them.

Dead.

And at the center—

Blaine.

Unconscious.

"…"

Time passed.

Minutes.

Then—

His fingers twitched.

Slowly—

He opened his eyes.

Pain hit instantly.

Sharp.

Deep.

Every muscle screamed.

"…what…"

Fragments of memory returned.

Fight.

Blood.

Power.

Loss of control.

"…"

Blaine sat up slowly.

His body felt—

Different.

Heavier.

Stronger.

The system appeared.

[Strength: 210]

Silence.

So it wasn't a dream.

"…"

He looked around.

Bodies.

Everywhere.

Not one alive.

He did this.

All of it.

"…"

No emotion.

Only realization.

That power—

Was dangerous.

The system flickered.

[Warning: Creator's Bloodline Instability Detected]

[Overuse may result in permanent loss of control]

Blaine's eyes narrowed.

So there was a cost.

Good.

That made it real.

Then—

Another notification.

[Notice: Rapid Growth Detected]

[Higher-tier enemies required for further evolution]

"…"

As expected.

This level—

Was no longer enough.

He needed stronger opponents.

Stronger zones.

Stronger worlds.

Then—

A sound.

Footsteps.

Multiple.

Blaine stood up.

Slow.

Calm.

Three figures appeared.

Humans.

Hunters.

Their eyes widened instantly.

"…what the hell…"

"…this many…?"

"…all dead?"

Their gaze locked onto Blaine.

Tension filled the air.

One of them activated a scan device.

"…impossible…"

"…his energy…"

They stepped back instinctively.

Fear.

Real fear.

Blaine looked at them.

Cold.

Silent.

No hostility.

But no warmth either.

"…you did this?"

No answer.

Because the answer—

Didn't matter.

The strongest among them spoke.

"…Sector 9 isn't enough for you anymore."

A pause.

"…you should leave."

"…"

Blaine's eyes shifted slightly.

Leave?

No.

He had just arrived.

But—

They weren't wrong.

This place…

Was already becoming too small.

The man continued.

"There are gates."

"…"

Blaine focused.

"Not here."

"Deeper."

"Places where the world… breaks."

A pause.

"…and something else begins."

Silence.

So it existed.

Another world.

Another battlefield.

Better.

Much better.

The man stepped back.

"…if you keep growing like this…"

"…you'll find them soon."

Then—

They left.

Quickly.

Without looking back.

Because instinct told them—

Staying was dangerous.

Very dangerous.

"…"

Blaine stood alone again.

Thinking.

Analyzing.

Gates.

Other worlds.

Stronger enemies.

Everything aligned.

A faint smile appeared.

Because now—

The path was clear.

This city—

Was just the beginning.

And beyond it—

Something far greater waited.

Blaine stepped forward.

Deeper into Sector 9.

Because now—

He wasn't just hunting.

He was preparing.

For something bigger.
