Chapter 45 - You're Hiding A Man

When Andrew went to the cafeteria for lunch, he ran into Ethan and the others. After eating, he followed them back to the dormitory.

"Andy, that Luna AI you made is actually super useful," Ethan said while lying lazily in his chair. "The day before yesterday, I told Luna to post an ad for buying second-hand textbooks with notes, and today five or six people already replied. I even haggled the price down a bit."

Tony nodded excitedly and added, "Yeah, it's really convenient. I asked Luna to help me find gaming partners in the game section. A few of them even said they've encountered me before and that I'm incredibly awesome at the game."

Andrew raised an eyebrow, his expression turning strange. "You? A fake player stuck in Scrap Iron rank? Awesome?"

"Don't believe me? Look for yourself."

Tony proudly showed his phone to Andrew.

Andrew quickly shook his head. "No need." But secretly, he logged into his administrator account and checked the backend.

Sure enough, Tony had asked Luna to post for him. The post used Tony's own photo as the avatar, striking a cool, aloof pose, along with his game ID for 'Fearless Contract' and a screenshot of a pentakill. Upon closer inspection, that pentakill was actually one Andrew had achieved earlier, which Tony had shamelessly stolen.

The replies underneath were all from bots that Luna had created:

"Big shot is so strong!"

"Brother is amazing, can you play with me?"

"God-tier player, I've encountered you before."

Tony had replied to every single one with an aloof attitude:

"I'm usually busy with my studies, so I don't have much time to play."

"Playing is fine, but you have to wait until I'm free. I plan to try out for professional training."

"Little sister, add me as a friend!"

Andrew almost burst out laughing. This idiot really believed he was a pro player now.

He then checked Ethan's textbook post. Besides one real reply, all the others were also Luna's bots. Ethan had been happily haggling prices with AI-generated accounts the entire time without realizing it.

At that moment, Andrew felt that the words "Idiot Club" on their dormitory door sign were becoming more and more accurate.

Indeed, where there is a mastermind, there must be an idiot.

Andrew quickly contacted Mark Vane.

"Mark, adjust the Luna bots. Don't let them reply too many times in one thread, or it'll be too obvious. Limit it to three to five comments per post, and make sure they only leave comments without continuing the conversation."

"Got it. I'll set the bots to only comment once or twice and stop. Also, for the Secondhand Trading section, should I stop using robot replies completely?"

"Yes. There are actually fools who haggle with bots."

"Are there really such fools?"

"There are."

"Alright, I'll make the changes now."

Before ending the chat, Mark added, "Boss, someone started a 'Campus Belle and Campus Heartthrob Ranking' on Luna's website. It's getting really popular. Only people who have downloaded the Luna app can post and vote there."

Andrew raised an eyebrow. "There's such a thing?"

He rarely paid attention to the gossip sections, focusing only on user growth and core features.

He opened the Luna website and checked. Sure enough, the campus belle ranking thread was extremely active, constantly being refreshed with new replies and votes. Since only Luna app users could post, every participant was a real user of his AI.

Andrew's eyes lit up. This was a perfect opportunity to attract more downloads.

"Move this campus belle and campus heartthrob ranking thread directly to the homepage," he messaged Mark. "Make sure everyone who opens Luna sees it immediately."

"Done."

Andrew clicked into the ranking thread.

He naturally assumed Scarlett would be at the top of the campus belle list. But when he scrolled through the posts, he was stunned.

There was no trace of Scarlett at all.

Instead, he saw many familiar faces from the college. What surprised him even more was how many users were actively using Luna. Several had asked the AI to edit and enhance their photos, making their faces look more attractive, skin smoother, bodies slimmer or more curvy.

Luna's bots were also leaving sweet, flattering comments under these morphed photos:

"Wow, you look so beautiful today~"

"Goddess level! Can I get your contact?"

"This photo is stunning! You're definitely top 3 material!"

"Queen energy! Voting for you!"

Many students had already changed their avatars to the beautifully edited versions Luna had generated for them, proudly showing off their new looks on the ranking.

Andrew stared at the screen, feeling a complicated mix of amusement and disbelief.

These people were using his own AI to create fake beauty and then competing with each other using Luna-generated compliments…

He didn't know whether to laugh or feel a headache coming on.

But still showing Scarlett is not there, he murmured "There's no Professor Scarlett here? Isn't this purely an unofficial list?"

"Andy, don't shout so loudly. The ranking rules state it can only be students from our Blackthorn University," Johnson explained.

"That makes sense then."

Andrew thought it was reasonable. If Scarlett could be on the list, there would be no suspense, and nothing worth competing for.

When Tony heard Andrew was also looking at the ranking, he quickly said, "Andy, quickly vote for my goddess!"

"Your goddess? Which one?"

"Diana!"

Andrew was stunned upon hearing this, "What? Didn't she mock you last time? And now she's your goddess?"

"What are you talking about? What she said last time had some merit, okay?"

"Don't tell me the milk tea I gave you last time was also for her."

"Yeah. Olivia was next to her at the time, so I gave my cup to her."

Andrew's mouth twitched upon hearing this, "You really are quite the warm guy."

At this moment, Johnson squeezed over and shoved Tony aside, "Get lost, you pathetic simperer! Diana, that potato landmine, is a campus belle? Only a simper like you would like her."

"Nonsense! It's because you have no taste, you bastard!"

Meanwhile, on the other side, Scarlett and

Suzanne left the barbecue restaurant, planning to rest in their room for a while before returning to school for the afternoon classes.

"Sister Scar, I noticed your taste is getting pickier. You used to think this barbecue restaurant tasted pretty good, didn't you?"

Scarlett hadn't eaten much of the barbecue just now; she had been drinking juice the whole time. "It's all MSG and seasonings. I can't get used to it."

"But that's how outside food is, unless you cook it yourself."

"I know."

Scarlett replied faintly. She knew that after getting used to the food Andrew cooked, she could no longer tolerate food outside laden with seasonings.

"How about I cook a meal for you next time?"

"Forget it. I'm afraid you'll burn down the kitchen."

Scarlett didn't have high hopes for Suzanne's cooking; their skill levels were probably about the same.

She still wanted to eat what Andrew made.

To make it convenient for them to return together in the afternoon, Suzanne returned to the room with Scarlett.

Upon entering, just as Suzanne was about to change her shoes, her gaze suddenly locked onto a pair of men's slippers.

"Sister Scar! You're hiding a man in here!"
