This chapter may be edited during the course of the story, so do not be surprised if you see races not mentioned in this chapter in the main plot.
Demons
A race similar to humans but with several differences:
1. Demon bodies are on average 20% stronger than human bodies.
2. Demons possess lineages that grant special abilities or traits, such as increased physical strength or active powers. The lower the purity, the weaker the effect of the lineage. Upon reaching rank 7, a demon completely abandons its inherited lineage and creates its own, based on personal abilities and experience. The power of a pure lineage is roughly equal to the strength of an average domain or intention. A demon can possess the power of two lineages, but this is rare, and usually one lineage suppresses the other.
3. Demon mana strongly influences emotions; the specific emotion or desire affected depends on the lineage.
4. The cultivation system of demons is similar to that of humans but requires separate techniques and meditation methods.
5. A human can form a contract with a demon by taking its blood and gaining partial power of its lineage. In return, they lose free will. The quality of the transferred power depends on the purity of the demon's lineage. The human who signs the contract also becomes more susceptible to emotions.
6. Demons fear the element of light but have partial resistance to the element of darkness.
7. Demons live significantly longer than humans.
Beast Mana
Beasts are physically 25–40% stronger than humans, depending on the species.
In demonic lands, beasts become more aggressive and are referred to as demonic beasts.
Beast cultivation system:
Beasts unconsciously absorb ambient mana. With each breakthrough, their bodies change under the influence of absorbed energy, so subspecies of the same kind can differ significantly.
Beasts become slightly smarter with each rank. A full and significant leap in intelligence occurs only at rank 7, when the beast gains consciousness.
Beasts can instinctively use primitive offensive magic.
Beast lineages influence innate abilities. When a beast breaks through a rank, it retains the effectiveness of its lineage.
Beasts have resistance to their primary element but reduced resistance to the opposing element.
Beasts live significantly longer than humans.
Gods
Gods are beings who have reached rank 10 cultivation and ascended.
Gods can influence the world through blessings, but the power of blessings is limited; they cannot grant too much strength.
Power received from a god requires worship and service. Those directly blessed are called saints.
Most gods who create their cults are malevolent, finding entertainment in the "games" of mortals.
Gods do not act in unity, but sometimes cults cooperate for specific purposes.
System of ranks for believers (analogous to cultivation, reflecting the quality and quantity of divine energy):
1. Novice — initial level of faith, minimal effectiveness of blessings.
2. Deacon — regular worship, gaining a noticeable portion of divine power.
3. Priest — stable blessings, performing rituals and tasks of the god.
4. Senior Priest — deep faith, blessings are strengthened, access to unique effects.
5. Bishop — high level of service, significant share of divine energy.
6. Archbishop — almost constant connection with a god, unique abilities, strong blessings.
7. Pope — maximum devotion, powerful blessings, leadership within the cult.
Saint — the chosen directly blessed by a god; their power can be incomparable to regular believers of the same rank.
Humans
At first glance, humans have no advantages besides their numbers, but their path of development is almost limitless.
Unlike demons and beasts, whose lineages are restricted to their original line, humans can create unique lineages based on talent, experience, and personal motivation.
The only limitation is natural talent.
Humans compensate for weakness physically and magically through training, strategy, mentorship, and alchemy.
