Here's your edited Chapter 6:
Step after step, Sho made his way deeper into the hut.
The devil council watched him with the same hateful gazes they had been throwing his way since the moment he first set foot in their territory, but not a single one of them dared to utter a word.
The guards stood outside, constantly peering in, since they too were curious to see what this human intended to do.
To be honest, many of them had almost no expectation.
What could a human possibly do? Most of them could not even use magic as well as demons could. They were small, weak, and simply stupid.
At least, that was what every demon believed.
In that moment, they knew in their hearts that the human would soon beg for his life after seeing how pointless his efforts were.
But to their surprise, there was not a single hint of fear or hesitation on Sho's face.
He arrived in front of the devil queen, and then raised his hand in greeting.
"Yo."
The devil queen paused. "Yo?"
"Y-yeah, yo. As in, what's up."
"..."
"It's a greeting where I come from."
It seemed like the queen's face softened a bit, but the moment she noticed the rest of the demons were looking at her, her strict expression made its way back.
"Where is the cure?" she asked. "I have given you a full week. Surely you cannot make any excuses now."
Sho found it laughable that they truly believed anyone could solve an unknown illness this severe in a single week.
However, that only further explained their lack of understanding on the matter.
First, he cleared his throat.
"I don't break my promises, my lady. You asked for a cure, and I have come to deliver it to you. Behold."
He stretched his hand forward, showing her what appeared to be a necklace.
Every demon at the side leaned forward, curious to get a full glance of what he was presenting to their queen.
Even the queen herself wanted to get a closer look at it.
So, she took it from his hand and stared at it for a while.
The string was woven from vines, but the crystal hanging at the front was unlike anything she had ever seen before.
It was translucent, nearly invisible to the naked eye, with only the faintest shimmer of light reflecting off its surface.
"What is this?" she asked, confused.
"Your cure." Sho stepped forward a bit.
"The main issue with your body is the inability to expend the excess mana building up inside you. This pendant will help with that. It will continuously absorb the mana, and once it reaches capacity, it will release the stored energy into the surrounding atmosphere. This should suffice until we find a permanent way to deal with the problem."
"What?" The queen locked her gaze on the pendant for a while longer, her eyes widening in surprise.
A part of her wanted to believe everything he had just said was a lie. But just as she held the pendant in her palm, she could swear the pain around her fingers had lessened, unlike the rest of her body where the ache still lingered.
She slowly moved her gaze away and turned it back to Sho.
"How were you able to make... this?"
Sho hesitated, but only on the inside.
If he told her the truth, that all he did was use his skills to create a magic stone capable of absorbing mana and expelling it at will, then they would probably consider ending him before he became a real threat.
He understood just how powerful of a skill it could be if used well.
As such, he needed to lie.
"I prayed to the gods for a solution, and they offered me one," he said simply.
The rest of the devils squeezed their faces in anger. They could not help but think the human was playing their queen for a fool.
And the devil queen could sense that tension from a mile away.
Thus, she made her choice.
"Leave us. I would like to speak to this human alone."
Of course, many of them hesitated. No one wanted to leave such a being alone with their queen.
But at the same time, none of them could truly defy her, so they left.
In due time, it was only Sho and the devil queen in the supposed throne room.
With grace, she rose from the throne and walked toward him at a slow, measured pace.
"Should I put this necklace on?" She stopped just short of him, her crimson eyes boring into his. "You swear on your god that my illness will be cured, and I will no longer feel the thousands of needles stabbing me from the inside?"
This time, she was only an inch away from Sho.
He could see her claws slowly extending from the tips of her fingers, each one curving outward like sharpened bone. She fully intended to kill him if this failed.
However, Sho was not intimidated, or rather, he did not intend on showing it.
"As I said, I do not break my promises."
Still looking at him, the devil queen spread the vines of the necklace apart. Then, hesitantly, she placed it around her neck.
Almost instantly, an intense wave of sensation washed over her body from head to toe.
Her breath hitched. Her legs gave out beneath her and she dropped to her knees, eyes wide, cheeks flushed a deep crimson as she stared at the ground in complete disbelief.
Her back arched on its own, chest pressing against the floor as the overwhelming rush continued to build, replacing every ounce of pain she had carried for as long as she could remember.
It was unlike anything she had ever felt before.
Every single ache that had been eating away at her, the constant pressure of mana swelling inside her body with nowhere to go, all of it was being drained out of her at once, and the relief that followed was so sudden, so absolute, that her body did not know how to process it as anything other than raw, unfiltered release.
The once transparent necklace now shone with a bright red glow, pulsing softly in rhythm with the mana flowing through it.
[Notice: The pendant has been filled with raw mana. It will now expend the stored energy into the surroundings in order to extract more.]
'Damn, just how intense is her mana?'
Sho recalled how much pain he had endured when crafting the pendant, having to draw mana from reserves he never knew he had.
And even then, it was not nearly as intense as this.
More and more of the mana left her body and poured into the stone, then from the stone into the atmosphere, and this cycle kept going on for a while.
Until--
Gbam.
The queen collapsed to the ground.
