Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The True Power of the Demon Sovereign

The sky no longer resembled reality.

It had turned into a battlefield of pure destruction.

Darkness and energy clashed violently, tearing apart the very fabric of space. Lightning struck endlessly, and the ground below trembled as if the world itself feared what was about to unfold.

At the center of it all—

Zareth Voidragon stood still.

Facing all five traitors at once.

Their combined aura was overwhelming.

Crushing.

Monstrous.

But Zareth…

Didn't move.

"…This is your final stand?" he asked calmly.

The leader stepped forward, his voice cold.

"No."

A pause.

"This is your end."

Instantly—

All five attacked together.

This time—

Perfect synchronization.

Blades of dark energy, destructive spells, and reality-breaking attacks all converged at once.

There was no escape.

No opening.

Zareth closed his eyes.

"…Pathetic."

BOOOOOOOOM.

The attacks collided—

And engulfed him completely.

The sky went white.

Below—

Everyone shielded their eyes.

"…That's it…"

"…No one could survive that…"

Then—

Silence.

The light faded.

And what they saw—

Was impossible.

Zareth stood there.

Unharmed.

Untouched.

"…Is that all?" he asked.

The traitors froze.

"…Impossible…"

"…We combined everything…"

Zareth slowly opened his eyes.

And for the first time—

His aura changed completely.

It wasn't just power anymore.

It was dominance.

The air collapsed around him.

Space bent.

Time slowed.

"…You still don't understand," Zareth said.

A pause.

"…The difference between us."

He raised his hand—

And snapped his fingers.

CRACK.

The entire sky split apart.

One of the traitors screamed—

His body was instantly crushed by an invisible force.

Another tried to escape—

But space twisted—

And pulled him back.

Zareth moved.

Not fast.

Not flashy.

But absolute.

In one step—

He appeared in front of one of them.

"…You were the one who hesitated that day."

The traitor's eyes widened.

"…No—"

Zareth touched his forehead.

"…Disappear."

Gone.

Erased completely.

Three left.

The remaining traitors panicked.

"…This isn't possible!"

"…He's not even trying!"

The leader gritted his teeth.

"…Stay together!"

They attacked again—

But this time—

Their movements were unstable.

Sloppy.

Fear had taken over.

Zareth watched silently.

"…Now you understand."

He raised both hands.

Dark void energy gathered—

Far greater than before.

The sky trembled.

Reality cracked.

"…You betrayed me…"

His voice turned colder.

"…And this is the result."

He brought his hands down—

BOOOOOOOOOOM.

A massive wave of void energy exploded outward.

Two traitors were instantly consumed.

Gone.

Only one remained.

The leader.

He stood frozen.

His entire body trembling.

"…What… are you…?"

Zareth stepped forward slowly.

"…Your king."

The leader took a step back.

"…No…"

For the first time—

He was afraid.

Zareth stopped in front of him.

"…You planned everything."

A pause.

"…The betrayal."

The leader clenched his fists.

"…We had to!"

Zareth's eyes turned completely cold.

"…No."

A step closer.

"…You chose to."

The leader roared and released all his power in desperation.

A final attack.

Everything he had.

Zareth didn't dodge.

Didn't block.

He simply walked forward—

Through the attack.

Untouched.

The leader's eyes broke.

"…This… is impossible…"

Zareth raised his hand—

And placed it on his chest.

"…This is reality."

Silence.

"…Disappear."

Everything stopped.

Then—

The leader vanished.

Gone.

All five traitors…

Erased.

The sky returned to normal.

The pressure vanished.

The battlefield fell silent.

Zareth stood alone.

Victorious.

Below—

Everyone stared in disbelief.

"…He… won…"

"…Alone…"

Kael fell to his knees.

"…This isn't strength…"

Lyra whispered softly:

"…This is absolute power."

Zareth looked down at the academy.

"…It's over."

But—

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"…No."

Far away—

Deep in darkness—

Something awakened.

A presence far greater than the five traitors combined.

A voice echoed.

"…So… you've finally returned."

Zareth's expression turned serious.

"…So you're still alive."

A faint smile appeared.

"…Good."

Because the real enemy—

Had just awakened.
