Chris now confused between the quests, one is a "Orc Village Wipe out" And "transportation of some important goods to a nearby city". Chris thinks, "escort mission is good but with a monster hunt mission I can earn more".
Chris takes the " Orc Village Wipe Out" Quest , he steps out of the guild building looking at sky thinking about his current life. 'I was a top athlete, a pro basketball player in my previous life but now I'm a secretly overpowered adventurer. I wonder how my life is gonna be. ' Chris says to himself,.
The new sword.
Chris while walking looks at his sword says 'this sword is almost gone too,I have to get a new sword again,AAAAAAAA.' Chris goes to that blacksmith's shop again,that grumpy old man gets annoyed after seeing Chris in a single day.
'You here again kid. What do you want this time.' Blacksmith says while looking at Chris angrily.
'Well the sword that I bought from you is now on the verge of breaking down. ' Chris says while showing the sword to the blacksmith.
After seeing the sword, 'did you spar against Flin,he always breaks the sword of all new adventurers '. Blacksmith says while grumping.
'Yes I had a rank evaluation test, and Flin was the one who sparred with me. ' Chris says with a weird smile.
The blacksmith goes to the back of his shop and takes out a wooden box, in that wooden was a blue sword was placed. 'This sword is my master piece, made of the cold iron from the east. This sword is an S rank weapon,strong enough to slash through rocks and it can penetrate to any monster. But if you want to but it give me 1000 gold coins.' The blacksmith says while closing the box again.
'What....are you trying to rip me off, 1000 gold coins , seriously, do you think I would have this much on me. If you want to sell it I can give you 150 gold coins at most. ' Chris argues with the blacksmith.
'Tsk.... You beggar', Blacksmith thinks for a moment seeing the boy thinks,his voice carry some sort determination. 'fine take this sword, but you must pay me all that after earning'. The blacksmith says in anger.
'Good, I'll be sure to pay you the full amount soon. ' Chris says with a smile on his face.
Chris leaves the blacksmith shop, and and looks at that bluish sword in his hands, the sunlight was making the sword so beautiful that one would not even want to stain it with blood. Chris sheaths the sword and leaves from the salvalon city towards the east deep within the mountains was located a small sized orc village that has roughly around 40-60 orcs in it. Usually it would take a party of 6 B class adventurers but for Chris it was a walk in the park.
The Hunt Begins
Chris now fully armed moves swiftly across the Grassfield, going from one tree to another, Chris was using a movement technique he had created "The swift steps technique", this technique came to be because of Fen, fen was so fast that sometimes Chris will be left out, Chris made that technique right before leaving the forest.
He stood on a cliff near the orc village. Staring at the orcs, he said 'finally some real monsters, now I can use my new sword arts that are less destructive but deadly'.
The orc village had a very pungent smell of blood, Chris could see multiple animal carcasses and many human skulls too.
"The art of whispering sword " A silent sword technique which makes the sword and user go invisible, invisible because the user moves with such speed that is hard to see with human eyes.....
Chris jumps from the cliff and lands right in the center of the orc village, dust rises from his land, a silhouette appers in the dust and then, Chris vanishes.
Suddenly the orcs standing near the village entrance died , their heads severed, thick green blood gushing out from their body. Chris feeling the thrill starts killing other orcs with finesse, he makes a single horizontal cut, the cut was so deep that and fast that the orcs didn't even know that a blade has passed through their necks and at that moment 20+ orcs died instantly, .
After killing all the orcs in the village single handedly, he collected their ears for verification in the adventurers guild, he takes the ears of the orcs and fills a bag with it . He starts leaving without knowing that someone from a distance was watching him a shadowy figure wearing a black mask covering their mouth, their eyes, the color of blood.
THE REWARD
Chris enters the guild with the bag filled with orc ears, everyone was shocked to him, not because of his bag but because his black clothes were now green because of orc blood. He goes to Katherine and puts the bag on the table.
Thud
"Here, the quest to wipeout the orc village, completed". Chris says with a tired voice.
" Amazing Mr. BlackDeath, you completed the quest in such a short time, wait you are not with a squad, don't tell me you did this alone. " Katherine says while looking at Chris with a worried expression.
"Yes I did it alone." Chris says while looking at Katherine from behind his mask.
"Ahem.... You have done something that takes a group of B class adventurers alone, your reward will be huge. Please wait while we count the total number of ears. " Katherine says while handing over the bag to another employ,.
After an hour and a half.
Katherine hurriedly comes and asks him 'just how many orcs did you subjugate'.
'Like I said, the whole orc village... I think there were roughly 60 orcs.' Chris says.
'The total number of orcs killed is 64,and your reward for quest completion is 850 gold coins, on top of that, you killed more orcs than written in the quest so you'll be getting an extra reward of 1000 gold coins, so in total you are getting 1850 gold coins,..... In a single day?. ' Katherine says while stressed, sweat running down from her forehead.
The adventurers gathered there were shocked to hear that, a kid barely 16 years of age wiped out an orc village on his own.
A woman along with her 2 subordinates approaches Chris aka BlackDeath with the intent to recruit him to her group.
The woman's name is Andrea, she's a woman with long red hairs, and with deep black eyes. She asks Chris 'hey BlackDeath, would you like to join our group, we are all A class adventurers, if you would like to that is. '
Chris thinks, 'what the heck it's only been a few minutes since I completed this quest and now I'm getting an offer to join a group of A class adventurers, wow maybe my life won't be that lonely. '
