As Chris walked towards the adventures guild he saw some people gathered near a notice board.
'What's happening over there.' Chris said with excitement.
People were gathered near the notice board because the imperial academy of "Aerison" Is accepting new students. That news was posted on that notice board. Chris pushes and gets to the front, "Woah... So there's a academy in this world too" Chris says in amusement. An elderly man says, 'The academy is famous for its tough entrance exam, barely 50 students enter the "Imperial Academy of Aerison", even those 50 students must continue to perform well or else they will be expelled from the academy. '

'Welcome sir, I'm Katherine the receptionist of the adventures guild, How may I help you. ' the receptionist says to Chris. Chris while wearing a mask and in black clothing says 'I would like to register as an adventurer'. Katherine sees him with suspicion, because of his mask and black clothing.
'May I know why you are covering your identity, dear sir' Katherine asks. "It's because of an old scar I got when I was six. " Chris lies because he doesn't want people to know about him.
Katherine says "oh I'm really sorry to hear that, if you want to register as an adventurer you'll have to get your rank evaluated, in the first step you'll have to use your mana on this crystal ball, this crystal ball can suggest your rank according to your mana capacity. The second step is a sparring with an adventurer of the same rank. If you pass these two tests you'll be able to get your adventurers license. "

Chris heads towards the guild arena, there he sees a big old man, he had a muscular build, with white hairs and a big scar on his face going from his forehead to his chin, the man's name was Flin, he's been working as an A rank adventurer for 4 decades now, Katherine says.
Flin looks at Chris and says while groaning "Hmph another kid trying to become cool, what's his evaluated rank Katherine, " Katherine says 'it's B class, sir'. Flin gets shocked after hearing about it, "you are not bad, but just from having a B class mana doesn't mean that you are an actual B class, you must have the skills to prove it. " Flin says to Chris.
Chirs after hearing it gets a bit angry and says "come on old man don't fight with your mouth, show me what you got".
Flin chuckles and says " Quite spirited, let's see what you've got, I'll give you the first move come with everything you've got. " Chris thinks 'if I come with everything I have ,you'll be dead and half of this city will get destroyed '.
Chris dashes towards Flin, making an horizontal attack with his sword, Flin with his giant sword blocks it, the air that comes out after the clash pushes Katherine away, Flin says 'you've got some strength behind that mask of yours. ' Chris says ' this is just the start'. He pushes Flin with sheer strength, Flin after getting pushed back by a mere B class gets enraged, he jumps and makes a vertical downward slash towards Chris, Chris thinks ' I can easily block it but I don't think this will survive but I'll have e to dodge to show I have good agility. ' Chris right before the impact moves back and avoids the attack, then Flin says 'you are good at dodging too, now show me your real skill '. Flin now covering his giant swords with ether, 'I'm a sword expert too, show me what you've got. ' Chris after seeing that thinks if a sword expert can cover his sword in ether then if I just make my sword a bit glowing with ether will be a intermediate sword user, if it's that then I'll use only this much '. Chris covers his sword with a bit of ether not showing his real Swordmaster aura. Both of clash again now they both use different styles, Flin uses the traditional imperial swordsmanship that is available everywhere while Chris uses a swordsmanship from one of his novels, they both making multiple arcs of ether everywhere, then Chris thinks "if I keep this up, they will suspect me, I should stop here for now and with the next I should admit defeat", Flin attacks him with a diagonal slash and Chris blocks it with his sword and gets thrown on the wall, he acts as if he is very hurt,. Katherine give him his license and the B class promotion money. " Katherine takes Chris to the entrance again and hands him his adventurers card,. The card was made up of metal, Katherine asks please tell me your name so that I can enter it here, Chris wants to hide his identity so he says my name is BlackDeath. Katherine adds BlackDeath name on the card. She hands him a pouch filled with the promotion money, a 150 gold coins,. She says you can pick up some quests from the quest board. Chris now a B class adventurer gets extremely happy, "all my dreams are becoming true" Chris thinks. Now I can earn money to get admitted in the academy.
"I can't wait for my first quest, what should I pick, a monster hunt or an escort mission. " Chris now confused between those quests.
