In the middle of the night, she arrived.
Finally..... a baby girl came into this world.
This quit hospital room suddenly filled with soft cries - the sound of a new life beginning.
Myra her tiny daughter in her arms, her heart trembling between pain and happiness. The little fingers wrapped around her mother's hand as if promising-
" I'M HERE, MOM."
Myra's parents informed her in - law family about the good news.
But their response wasn't what
They hoped for - There was no excitement, no joy - only silence.
Her mother - in - law even stopped her son from going to see Myra.
That silence hurt more than the labour pain.
The little princess smiled in her mama's arms, unaware of the cold reaction around her. Everyone at Myra's parents house welcomed her with love. But deep inside, Myra felt a heavy pain.
In her toughest moment, when she needed her family the most..... they were not there.
Now everything seemed calm, but her heart whispered a painful thought- Maybe..... it's because I gave birth to a girl.
And on the very first day of her daughter's life, Myra saw how the world might treat her child.
That fear slowly grew I inside her.
She held her daughter close and silentently promised -
" No matter what happens..... My daughter will never live the life I lived".
That painful night finally passed.
After a few days, Myra was discharged from the hospital and returned to her parents" house. Later, her husband came to meet her.
His presence brought some comfort, but the distance between hearts still remained.
A few days Later, her mother - in - law tired to console her in a stranger way-
" Don't worry... next time you'll have a son. Your life is still long."
Those words didn't comfort Myra... they broke something inside her.
At that moment, she realized- was she only valued for giving birth to a son?
What about her pain? Her body? Her health?
She had just returned from the hospital, still weak..... yet no one cared about her recovery.
Time passed.
After some days, Myra returned to her in - law house. Slowly, things started becoming normal again.
Smiles returned. Conversations restarted.
And then..... they all decide to name her little angel - chiwi.
The house once again filled with laughter.
Days passed, and soon it was chiwi first birthday. The celebration was full of joy and happiness.
Myra's heart filled with warmth seeing her daughter surrounded by love.
Everyone treated chiwi like the princess of the house.
Myra smiled peacefully.
Because all she ever wanted..... was her daughter's happiness.
But life doesn't stay the same forever. Some where deep inside, Myra felt a quit fear.....
Something she couldn't understand yet, And Slowly.....
They changed began reflecting in her little one.
What was it?
