After Myra's marriage, the first few months felt peaceful. Everything seemed fine, and she tried her best to adjust to her new life. But after six months, her in- laws slowly placed the burden of all responsibilities on her shoulders. She tried to keep everyone happy, for getting her own happiness in the process.
She gave everything her time, her care, her efforts. But in return, all she received were taunts and complaints.
Mayra never shared her problems since childhood, she had suffered from frequently stomach pain, but no one ever listen carefully. Even her husband never truly understand her. who she was, what made her happy, her choices, her needs - nothing seemed to matter to anyone.
During the scorching summers, she wore heavy sarees with a long ghunghat inside the house. One year passed...then another.
Her life moved in the same routine- from her in- law house to her parents' house, and back again.
Her world had become small.... and silent.
But Myra was truly very beautiful - not just in appearance, but also in her heart. Still, sometimes she wondered, Did my husband marry me..... or just my beauty?
Am I a person ... or just a thing ?
Whenever someone needed her, they came to her. Otherwise, she felt invisible.
Overloaded with household work and surrounded by this environment, she slowly forget 'WHO SHE WAS '.
She forgot her dreams, her smile, and even her own identity.
"But after two years, something changed".
For the first time in a long while, Myra felt a quit shift in her life - link a small ray of sunlight entireing a dark room. She didn't know what was coming next, but somewhere deep inside she felt that her life was about to take a new turn.
Would this change bring happiness..... or another challenge?
Only time would tell.
