Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: After the Nightmare

The group emerged from the dungeon portal as the first light of dawn touched the island. The Nightmare had been cleared, but the toll was visible — everyone was exhausted, clothes torn, bodies marked with bruises and burns. Yet they had won, and the rewards were already reshaping their future.

Kojima Ren felt the new Abyssal Sovereign Dragon Bloodline pulsing inside him like a second heartbeat. The power was immense, but it still needed time to settle fully. He opened his status screen to see the full extent of the changes.

Kojima flexed his hand, feeling the raw strength coursing through his body. He could sense the wings and lightning waiting just beneath the surface.

Kojima: This bloodline… it's changed everything. I feel stronger, sharper. But we still need to be careful. The Shadowfang won't stop coming.

Sylphira stood right beside him, her long red hair still slightly singed from the battle. She slipped her arm around his waist and rested her head gently on his shoulder, her golden eyes full of quiet pride and affection.

Sylphira: Master… you look even more powerful now. I'm so proud of you. Whatever this new strength brings, I'll stay right here and support you completely. Even if your harem grows, I'm happy as long as I can stay close to you.

Mira leaned against his other side, her violet eyes sparkling with excitement. She pressed her curvaceous body against him, her hand resting on his chest.

Mira: Master~ That power looks incredible on you. I can't wait to see what you can do with it. If you ever want to test it in a more… private setting, I'm more than ready.

Vaelor stood a short distance away, cleaning shadow residue from his hands with a handkerchief. His crimson eyes gleamed with respect and his usual witty spark.

Vaelor: Master, the fusion is magnificent. Your presence alone feels like a storm now. I look forward to serving an even more formidable sovereign. Shall I prepare a celebratory breakfast? Or perhaps something stronger to calm the nerves after that intense performance?

The group moved to the pavilion to rest and recover. The Lumina Elves had already started repairing the minor damage from the previous night's battles, their light magic healing the scorched earth and reinforcing the fences.

Kojima sat down with his companions, feeling the weight of the night's events. The Nightmare Dungeon had been a trial, but the rewards were worth it. The new bloodline gave him personal power he had never had before, and the resources from the chest would help expand the island even further.

Sylphira sat close to him, her red hair brushing his shoulder as she held his hand gently.

Sylphira: Master… you did well in there. I'm happy we could fight together. And I support your harem completely — if Mira or the others want to get closer to you, I won't mind. I only want you to be happy and safe.

Mira leaned in from the other side, her voice low and teasing.

Mira: Master, after everything we went through, I think we deserve a proper celebration. Maybe later, when we're alone… I can show you just how much I appreciate your new strength.

Vaelor served fresh tea and snacks with elegant movements, adding his usual light humor to ease the tension.

Vaelor: Indeed, Master. The kingdom is rising, and I shall continue providing the dramatic flair necessary for such a magnificent tale. If the Shadowfang return, we will greet them with style.

Kojima looked at the three of them — Sylphira's gentle support, Mira's bold energy, and Vaelor's witty loyalty — and felt a deep sense of belonging. The nerf from the Gods had slowed his rolls, but it had given him time to build something real with the people around him.
