Chapter 5 - Chapter 6: Events Conversation

Ramadan brought a different kind of calm into Ronan's life.

The days felt slower, quieter… and the nights felt longer, almost endless. It was during those late hours, between silence and soft conversations, that something began to grow between him and Humaira.

Their chats became a habit.

Not forced. Not planned.

Just… natural.

After Iftar, after everything settled, Ronan would find himself picking up his phone—not out of boredom, but with a quiet expectation. And almost always, there would be a message from her.

Sometimes it was simple—

"How was your day?"

"Did you eat?"

And sometimes, it was something random, something small that somehow turned into a long conversation.

Humaira talked a lot.

She shared stories about her day, her thoughts, the little things that happened around her. She had a way of making even ordinary moments sound interesting. And Ronan… he listened.

Carefully.

He didn't interrupt much, didn't say too much either—but he was always there. And somehow, that was enough.

As the days passed, the conversations grew deeper.

One night, she began talking about her past.

Her voice—through texts—felt different that day. A little softer, a little heavier.

She told him about her previous relationships.

There were two.

In the first one, she said, everything started simply—from study discussions. But slowly, it turned into something else. A relationship that wasn't planned, and eventually… wasn't right either.

"He didn't know how to treat me," she admitted.

There was no anger in her words. Just a quiet acceptance.

"I didn't even love him," she added.

Ronan read every message slowly.

He didn't judge.

He didn't question.

He simply listened.

Because sometimes, people don't need answers—they just need someone who understands without asking too much.

She mentioned her second relationship briefly, but didn't go into details. And Ronan didn't push.

That was something about him—

He never forced answers.

After a pause, she asked him something in return.

"What about you? Do you have any ex?"

Ronan looked at the screen.

For a moment, Arisha's name crossed his mind. The memories, the sudden disappearance, the unfinished ending—it all came back quietly.

But he didn't say anything.

He didn't answer.

And she noticed.

She tried to ask again, lightly this time, almost playfully. But Ronan still avoided it.

Not because he wanted to hide it…

But because he didn't know how to explain something that never really had an ending.

So he chose silence.

And somehow… she let it go.

That night, their conversation continued like nothing had happened. They laughed, shared random thoughts, and slowly drifted into comfort again.

And without realizing it—

They had become important to each other.

Not through big moments.

Not through dramatic confessions.

But through quiet, consistent presence.

✨ "Some connections don't need loud words…

they grow in silence, in late-night conversations."
