Edirup stood there completely lost in her own thoughts for a long while.
Her face was showing clear confusion as she kept wondering why exactly her sister's authority was now somehow with me of all people.
She seemed to be thinking deeply about whether her sister had been killed...
Or if maybe she had known something about my reincarnation and had done something special with her power on purpose.
But after thinking about it for what felt like several long seconds, she soon shrugged the whole complicated matter off with a casual movement of her shoulders and said in a relaxed voice;
"My sister is not so much of a genius. She might have gotten herself killed somehow in a foolish manner and lost her authority completely, and then you just happened to claim it on your way here."
Cool, I guess.
Except the part where someone actually had to die for this to happen didn't feel all that great when I really thought about it.
Okay, maybe it was finally time to do a proper recounting of all the abilities I have now so I could get a clear picture in my head.

That is actually a lot when you stop and think about it properly.
And to think that with Gluttony on my side I could probably keep getting even more power as time goes on by absorbing and converting whatever I find.
I'm already a "Level A" monster too, and that was true even BEFORE I was even properly "named" by anyone in this world.
Ah, that whole naming thing suddenly reminds me of something very important!
I immediately stood up on my two small feet right away and began to jog straight toward the sealed door that was blocking my way out.
It was a bit wobbly and unsteady at first because I was still getting used to moving around in this new body.
But after only a few steps I soon got the hang of these humanoid legs and started moving more smoothly.
And when I finally reached the door, I extended one of my small hands very slowly and carefully toward the invisible surface...
And it was a complete success!!
My hand went straight through the barrier without any problem at all, like it wasn't even there.
I moved the rest of my body out of the rippling space and suddenly appeared outside in the open area.
It was just a dark cave-y space that seemed to extend almost infinitely in every direction though, with rough stone walls and dim lighting that made everything feel mysterious and endless.
But boy was I glad about what had just happened!
Another clear achievement unlocked in this new world, if you ask me.
It was now about one full week that I had already spent being in this new world, and I already had several achievements lying around that I could feel proud of.
After looking around for a short moment, I ran back inside the sealed space where Edirup was waiting patiently and rejoiced together with her, feeling excited about what I had just accomplished.
"So... you will be going now, I assume," She smiled gently at me, now looking exactly like a caring mom who was sending her own child away to live abroad for the first time, her eyes soft and a little sad. "It was short, but it was truly fun. Being with you, I mean. And do not worry about anything; when I am reborn as another version of Edirup in the future, I will never forget yo--"
"Shion..." I muttered quietly, cutting her off in the middle of her sentence before she could finish speaking.
"What do you..." she started to ask, looking a bit confused by my sudden interruption.
"Your name is now Shion!" My childish voice rang out clearly as I smiled smugly with a lot of confidence, looking straight up at her. "And you're coming with me. I'm not letting you die, you hear...? Mom~"
Is it me... or have I been getting seriously conceited these days with the way I have been acting and talking?
Imagine naming my parent with such a smug face... But Edirup... I mean, Shion's face was too shocked and funny, so it goes.
