Chapter 366 - Extracting the Power of the Dragon Vein

Chapter 366: Extracting the Power of the Dragon Vein

The desolate ruins of Roran stretched out beneath the unforgiving desert sun. Uchiha Akira stood amidst the crumbling stone, slowly withdrawing his gaze from the distant horizon where a familiar golden flash had vanished.

If Minato Namikaze had been foolish enough to make a move just now, Akira would not have minded forcing the future Fourth Hokage into a permanent, early exit. Even if killing a key figure of the past triggered a massive space-time tremor, it mattered little to him. With the absolute authority of his Tianyu Space, he possessed more than enough confidence to crush any temporal variables that dared to rise against him.

"Lord... Lord Uchiha."

Sara's timid voice broke the heavy silence from behind him. She stared at Akira's broad, imposing back, her chest tight with a suffocating blend of awe and apprehension. Minato and his Konoha companions were gone. The fate of the surviving Roran citizens now rested entirely on the whim of this terrifying, god-like man.

Akira turned around, his crimson eyes sweeping over the ruined landscape before settling on the trembling queen.

"Are you ready?" he asked, his tone flat and devoid of warmth. "To leave this cursed place behind."

Sara hesitated for a fraction of a second, her hands clenching the fabric of her dress, before she nodded heavily.

"As long as my people can survive," she whispered, her voice gaining a fraction of resolve. "Anywhere is fine."

Akira wasted no further words. His right eye widened slightly, the complex tomoe spinning wildly as a terrifying surge of visual prowess erupted from his pupil.

"Tianyu Space, open."

The very fabric of reality in front of them groaned. Space twisted violently, tearing apart to reveal a massive, swirling rift that defied the natural laws of the world.

Gathering her courage, Sara led her people, following closely behind Akira as he stepped through the spatial tear.

The moment they crossed the threshold, the harsh, biting winds of the desert vanished. Beyond the rift lay a stunning expanse of lush, vibrant greenery. The melodic chirping of birds filled the air, mingling with the sweet, fragrant scent of blooming flowers and fresh soil. Compared to the barren, sand-swept desolation of Roran, this dimension was nothing short of a legendary pure land.

"This..." Sara gasped, bringing a trembling hand to cover her mouth. Her beautiful eyes widened in sheer disbelief as she took in the endless emerald plains and crystal-clear streams.

"From today onward," Akira's calm voice echoed through the tranquil environment, "this will be your new home."

Sara took a hesitant step forward. The moment her foot pressed into the soft, yielding grass, the rich, moist scent of fertile earth washed over her senses. The sheer relief of it all broke her composure. Hot tears spilled over her eyelashes, tracing tracks down her dust-stained cheeks. She turned back to face Akira, her knees giving way as she bowed deeply into the grass.

"Thank you..." she choked out, her voice thick with overwhelming gratitude. "Thank you, Lord Uchiha!"

Following their queen's lead, the hundreds of ragged Roran survivors marched through the rift in an orderly, awe-struck procession.

Inside the Tianyu Space, once the last citizen crossed over, the spatial tear sealed shut behind them. High above the sprawling plains, Akira's figure materialized out of thin air. He hovered effortlessly in the sky, looking down like a sovereign deity. Below him, the relocated refugees huddled together, their eyes darting around as they reverently surveyed their miraculous sanctuary.

"Silence."

Akira's voice was not loud, yet it carried an unnatural weight, echoing like rolling thunder directly into the minds of everyone present. The murmuring crowd froze. Utter stillness fell over the plains as hundreds of heads tilted upward, their eyes locking onto the imposing figure suspended in the sky.

"There are rules that must be established," Akira declared, his cold gaze sweeping over them with calculating detachment. "I have granted you a sanctuary. I have shielded you from the endless ravages of war and the suffocating desert storms of the outside world."

He paused, letting the gravity of his words sink into their bones.

"In exchange, what you must offer me is absolute loyalty. And your unwavering faith."

The moment the final syllable left his lips, a suffocating, terrifying pressure erupted from his body. The sheer density of his chakra crashed down upon the plains like a physical weight. Unable to withstand the oppressive aura, every single Roran survivor, save for Sara, whom he deliberately spared, was forced to their knees. They pressed their heads against the dirt, their bodies trembling uncontrollably under the might of a true apex predator.

"We will work for you! We will pray for you!" an elderly man cried out, his voice cracking with desperate reverence. "You are our god!"

That single spark ignited a wildfire of devotion. Fervent, fanatical shouts tore through the crowd, echoing into the boundless sky as the refugees pledged their very souls to the man who had delivered them from hell.

"Very good," Akira murmured, his aura retracting as quickly as it had appeared.

Sara snapped her head up, her long, vibrant red hair cascading over her shoulders, framing her delicate features in the soft light of the dimension. Akira descended slowly, his boots touching the grass a few paces away from her.

"You will remain their queen," he instructed, his tone shifting to a pragmatic calm. "You are responsible for managing the daily affairs of your people. Cultivate the land, build your homes, and establish order. You are permitted to use all the natural resources this sector provides."

Just then, the sharp whistling of wind sliced through the air.

Swish, swish, swish.

Dozens of agile figures descended from the surrounding canopy, landing gracefully in a protective perimeter. At the forefront stood a striking woman clad in a form-fitting red and white combat suit that perfectly accentuated her stunning curves. Her ruby-red eyes locked onto Akira, softening instantly with undisguised tenderness and devotion.

It was Kurenai Yuhi, the chief steward of the Tianyu Space. Within this private dimension, her authority was absolute, second only to Akira himself.

"Akira," Kurenai greeted, her voice a smooth, melodic purr. She stepped forward briskly, entirely unbothered by the hundreds of watching eyes, and naturally took her rightful place at his side. "Are these... the new residents?"

Her sharp gaze swept over the huddled masses of Roran survivors still kneeling in the grass.

Akira gave a faint nod. He reached out, his gloved fingers casually brushing aside a stray lock of Kurenai's dark hair that the wind had blown across her cheek. "Settle them in the territory adjacent to Area A."

Kurenai leaned slightly into his touch, a soft, alluring chuckle escaping her lips. "Leave it to me. They will be well taken care of."

Akira turned his attention back to the red-haired queen, who was staring at the intimate exchange in a wide-eyed daze. Realizing she was being watched, Sara snapped back to reality, her cheeks flushing a deep crimson as she hurriedly bowed her head in a flustered panic.

"Y-Yes! I am here!" she stammered.

Akira gestured to the kunoichi beside him. "This is Kurenai Yuhi, the grand administrator of this realm. If you encounter any issues or require guidance in establishing your settlement, you will report directly to her."

Having delivered his commands, Akira paid no further mind to the awe-struck refugees. The space around his body began to warp, his physical form turning translucent and illusory as the dimensional jutsu took hold.

"I am leaving the rest in your hands," he said, his eyes lingering on Kurenai.

She offered a confident nod, stepping forward to gently take the still-trembling Sara by the hand. As Akira's presence faded, Kurenai's warm, soothing voice drifted through the air, comforting the young queen while smoothly guiding her through the complex rules of their new world.

Back in the harsh reality of the outside world, Akira materialized above the desolate ruins of Roran. The biting desert wind whipped at his cloak, but he stood as immovable as a mountain.

'A space-time paradox?'he mused silently, a cold, mocking smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.'The weak are bound by the laws of the universe. The strong rewrite them.'

He cared absolutely nothing for the fragile timeline that Minato Namikaze had been so desperate to protect. When a man possessed enough raw, absolute power, what did it matter if the great river of history was violently severed and forced to flow in a new direction?

Crouching down amidst the shattered stone, Akira pressed his bare palm flat against the scorched earth.

"Come out," he commanded, his voice dropping into a dangerous, guttural growl.

The ground beneath him responded instantly, shuddering with a violent, localized earthquake. Deep within the planet's crust, the ancient pulse of the earth was forcibly seized. With a deafening roar, a colossal, serpentine dragon forged entirely of dense, blindingly purple chakra was dragged kicking and screaming from the subterranean depths.

"Get in there."

The spatial vortex in his right eye spun furiously, locking onto the writhing mass of pure energy. A massive spatial rift tore open directly above the struggling beast, the gravitational pull of the Tianyu Space locking onto the Dragon Vein like an inescapable maw.

The colossal chakra dragon let out a mournful, ear-piercing shriek, thrashing wildly against the invisible chains binding it. Yet, against the absolute, tyrannical ocular power of Uchiha Akira, the ancient entity possessed no room to resist.

A torrential flood of blinding purple energy, resembling a majestic waterfall flowing in reverse, surged wildly up into the gaping void of the Tianyu Space. The sheer density of the chakra cracked the surrounding bedrock, but Akira maintained his iron grip. He did not drain the source dry. After all, he still required a massive catalyst of temporal energy to bridge the gap back to his own era.

"Half. That is enough," he muttered.

Observing the now significantly diminished form of the Dragon Vein, Akira abruptly severed the connection, withdrawing his hand and allowing the spatial tear to snap shut.

His hands blurred into a rapid sequence of hand seals, leaving afterimages in their wake.

"Sealing Art: Four Symbols Source Lock!" he chanted.

The air crackled as thick, pitch-black chakra chains erupted from the earth. The cursed iron links whipped around the remaining half of the Dragon Vein, binding its ethereal flesh and pinning it firmly to the subterranean floor.

"Once I depart this era, the formula will automatically trigger, sealing you away completely," Akira stated coldly, his eyes tracing the complex sealing formulas spreading across the chains.

He stood up, casually dusting the grit from his gloves. "It is time to return."

Positioning himself directly over the nexus of the restrained Dragon Vein, Akira closed his eyes for a brief second. When they snapped open, the crimson tomoe had vanished, replaced by the supreme, ripple-like rings of the Rinnegan. The divine eyes pulsed with an intense, suffocating purple luminescence, reacting violently with the temporal chakra beneath his feet.

A brilliant, blinding pillar of white light erupted from the ground, swallowing him whole. In the blink of an eye, the light imploded, and the imposing figure of Uchiha Akira vanished completely, leaving the lost era of Roran behind in the dust.
