Chapter 818: Godslayer! Martial Arts King! Luo Hao! Hellish Blizzard! Monsters and Heroes
"Is no one here?"
The sterile, metallic corridor of the landship was quiet. Warfarin pressed the buzzer beside the heavy oak door for the third time, tapping her foot impatiently. Silence.
Kroos stepped forward, her signature lazy smile firmly in place, and silently produced a red keycard from her pocket. "This can open it~"
Warfarin sighed, crossing her arms. "Seriously, you had to drag me all the way over here. Kaltsit might not even be in her office."
In truth, Warfarin was the only one present who actually needed to see the head of the medical department. The other four women—FrostNova, Ho'olheyak, and Gravel—were here strictly for Ren.
They needed to see him. More, they needed to thank him.
FrostNova subconsciously touched her arm, still marveling at the smooth skin where jagged black Originium crystals used to sit. Ho'olheyak and Gravel shared the exact same sentiment. When they first learned of Ren's ability to cure terminal Oripathy, they had braced themselves for an astronomical, life-altering price. Instead, they had paid absolutely nothing. Ren had simply flexed his overwhelming power, and the incurable disease was erased from their bodies as if it were a minor inconvenience.
The sheer lack of a price tag left them feeling entirely undeserving. They couldn't just accept a miracle like that and walk away. They had to thank him in person.
Click!
The heavy electronic lock disengaged.
"It's open!" Kroos chimed.
None of them actually expected anyone to be inside. They pushed the door open simply to take a quick look before leaving.
But the moment the door swung wide, all five women froze dead in their tracks.
The spacious office had been entirely transformed. The lights were dimmed, projecting the atmosphere of a private cinema. However, whatever was playing on the screen was entirely ignored in favor of the absolute, chaotic depravity unfolding on the leather couches.
"Kal—Kaltsit?!?" Warfarin and Kroos dropped their jaws, their eyes bulging out of their skulls.
The stoic, unflappable, and endlessly calculating head of Rhodes Island was currently a breathless, tangled mess. Her usual cold authority was completely shattered, her eyes rolled back in a state of absolute, mind-melting overstimulation.
Ho'olheyak's tail puffed up, her sly composure cracking as her gaze darted around the room. "Wh—what exactly is going on here?"
Gravel, ever the pragmatic assassin, analyzed the tangled limbs and the heavy, sweet scent hanging in the air with clinical precision. "This appears to be a very intense, underground pleasure party."
FrostNova stared, her pale cheeks flushing a violent shade of crimson. "...We seem to have come at the wrong time."
From the center of the chaos, Ren looked up. He completely ignored the trembling, embarrassed Kaltsit beneath him and flashed a shameless, predatory grin at the doorway.
"No," Ren purred, his eyes gleaming. "You've come at just the right time."
A terrifying suction force erupted from his hand. Before any of the five women could even gasp, they were yanked off their feet, dragged straight into the dimly lit room.
Slam!
The office door clicked shut.
The corridor returned to dead silence. Not a single sound leaked out. No passing operator would ever suspect the absolute degeneracy currently unfolding inside the supreme commander's office.
Far away, in an entirely different universe.
Deep within an ancient mountain range, far removed from the modern world. Thick, white mist clung to the jagged peaks, painting a picture of stunning serenity. Nestled within a lush, emerald bamboo forest sat a quiet hermitage.
A woman wearing a pristine white cheongsam sat in a perfect lotus position, meditating amidst the swaying bamboo.
She did not seem entirely human. Her beauty was extraordinary, carrying an oppressive, ancient weight that demanded absolute submission from the surrounding nature.
This was Luo Hao.
The Martial Arts King of the East. The absolute ruler of the Five Mountains Sacred Cult. She reigned supreme over the pinnacle of martial arts in Jiangnan.
But more, she was a Godslayer—a Campione. An existence standing at the absolute apex of the world.
In her reality, two opposing yet deeply intertwined forces dictated the fate of humanity: Heretic Gods and Godslayers.
Heretic Gods were myths given form, deities who defied their legends to wander the mortal realm. Their mere presence warped reality.
Should a Sun God descend, the earth would scorch and the oceans would boil away.
Should a Sea God descend, continents would be swallowed by tidal waves and dragged into the lightless abyss.
Should a God of the Underworld descend, incurable plagues would sweep across the globe, reducing bustling metropolises to silent graveyards.
Should a God of Judgment descend, humanity would suffer endless, apocalyptic divine retribution.
Merely walking across the mortal plane brought catastrophic changes. They were gods of disaster, reshaping reality to fit their divine whims.
Mortal weapons were entirely useless against them. Swords, firearms, high-yield explosives, and even chemical weapons could not scratch a deity's skin.
Only a Godslayer could kill a Heretic God.
By slaying a deity, a mortal could devour their divine soul, forge a body far surpassing human limits, and usurp their Authorities. Currently, only seven such monsters existed on the planet. Seven Godslayers, respectfully and fearfully revered by the magical world as Devil Kings.
Luo Hao was one of them.
Suddenly, her dark eyes snapped open.
BOOM!
A massive shockwave of pure martial aura erupted from her body, violently shaking the entire bamboo forest. The sheer air pressure shredded the falling leaves into fine dust.
She stared into the empty air for a long, silent moment, her perfect brows knitting together.
Her lips parted slightly, her voice a melodic but dangerous whisper.
