Chapter 5 - Chapter 5:-

It was early morning. The village had not fully awakened yet.

Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door.

"Knock-knock! Knock-knock!"

A voice called out from outside —

"Salim bhai! Salim bhai! Is anyone home?"

Hearing the voice, Salim bhai woke up immediately and hurried toward the door.

"Yes, I'm coming… I'm coming."

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Kishan, a servant from Vivek Verma's haveli, standing outside.

Slightly surprised, Salim bhai said —

"Kishan bhai, what brings you here so early in the morning? Is everything alright?"

Kishan gave a small smile.

"Yes, Salim bhai, everything is perfectly fine. I've come to get the bride's clothes stitched."

He handed over a bundle of fabric to Salim bhai and said —

"There's a wedding in three days. The girl is from a nearby village… and as always, our master, Vivek Verma ji, is covering all the expenses."

Salim bhai took the clothes in his hands and began examining them carefully.

Kishan continued —

"Anyway, Salim bhai, it's hard to find a better tailor than you in the nearby villages. That's why I came early in the morning."

Then, hesitating slightly, he added —

"We need these clothes by the evening of the day after tomorrow."

Salim bhai smiled gently and replied —

"Don't worry at all, Kishan bhai. Come by the evening of the day after tomorrow and take them. Your work will be done."

Kishan let out a sigh of relief.

Then, as if he suddenly remembered something, he spoke again —

"You already know, Salim bhai… after the wedding, according to tradition, the bride and groom usually stay at a relative's house for the night."

"But our master is so kind that he lets the newlyweds stay in the haveli itself. He doesn't let them go anywhere else."

"In the morning, he arranges a proper vehicle and sends them off to their home."

Pausing for a moment, Kishan added —

"To be honest, Salim bhai… for the poor, Vivek Verma ji is no less than God."

Salim nodded softly.

"Yes, that's absolutely true, Kishan bhai."

With that, Kishan left.

Salim bhai stood there silently for a few moments.

He picked up the bundle of clothes… and slowly walked toward his tailoring shop.

Inside the shop, the same old black sewing machine was placed.

He set the clothes on the table, picked up the measuring tape, and while carefully looking at the fabric, murmured to himself —

"I'll have to finish this work in three days…"

Then, quietly, he got back to work.

Soon, the calm air of the village was once again filled with a familiar sound —

"Tak-tak-tak… tak-tak-tak…"

Salim the tailor's sewing machine had started running again.

But perhaps he still had no idea that this very wedding was about to become the biggest story the village had ever seen…

What do you think will happen next?
