"I expect the council to believe my oath. And also respect that it's against my profession to disclose my patients' records from now on." Lionel added, bowing his head slightly for a moment, then he straightened.
Vael watched his uncle's expression transform from barely contained fury to a war of humiliation and dominance.
"He really came for then. He had it all planned out. And I can't tell this is not over. This is not remotely over." Runn paced relentlessly, itching to be let out in the open. But Vael suppressed the urge.
"Even if the Luna is not pregnant, wasn't she picked out of sentiment?" Elder Joe asked. "I mean, she already met the Alpha once from the young man's testimony."
"No. She wasn't picked out of sentiment. We all went through the records of every candidate." Benjamin answered. "She was picked because only she was fit to be Luna, worthy enough to stand by the side of the Alpha."
The council members exchanged glances.
