"Young man, step forward, state your name and whom you currently serve," Lucious said, looking now at Finn.
Finn took a step forward, his movements jerky, his gaze fixed on a point somewhere in the middle distance. He was not looking at Vael. He was not looking at anyone.
"My name is Finn. And I serve the Alpha," he said, and his voice was barely audible.
"Have you ever witnessed the Alpha meeting the Luna before the engagement was formally announced?" Lucious asked.
A long pause. Finn's hands clasped behind his back as he lowered his head.
"Yes," Finn said, and the word was barely a whisper.
Theon slammed his hand on the desk. "What do you think you are doing, Finn?!"
Finn's head remained lowered, his gaze burning to the ground.
Julio looked at Theon. "Oh, Beta, the young man is only here to tell the truth to the council."
"Can you tell us where the Alpha and the Luna met?" Elder Jose asked.
