Levi quickly returned to the bottom of his rented apartment building, then hurriedly climbed the dilapidated apartment stairs, stepping on the creaking old wooden floorboards of the corridor to return to his pigeonhole-like little home.
Pushing open the door, no one was inside. Looking around again, Lina's schoolbag was not on the bed or the chair.
'Looks like she already went to class.'
'With the walls of the University of Piltover protecting her, she should be fine.'
Levi felt slightly relieved and hurried to pack the things he needed to take for his escape.
Along the way, he carefully washed his face and changed out of his blood-soaked work clothes, avoiding running around the streets covered in blood and being mistaken for a psychopathic killer who had just committed a crime.
Once everything was packed, Levi searched for his notebook.
'The notebook is indeed gone...'
'Looks like Lina took it to school.'
Although he didn't know the exact details, thinking of that inexplicably appearing believer, Levi could faintly guess that all of this must be related to the article he had left behind.
So Levi sped up his movements, preparing to go to the University of Piltover to take a look.
First, to find his sister there and warn her of the danger.
Second, to see what exactly was happening over there. Whether that mysterious believer was actually there or not.
However, just as Levi was fully prepared, had considered everything, and was about to set off...
A flurry of hurried footsteps came from outside the door.
Someone was coming.
Heading right toward him.
'Is it the Iron Fist Gang? Did they track me down already?' Levi instinctively grew vigilant.
But he quickly realized, 'No, it shouldn't be.'
How long had he even been back? No matter how fast the Iron Fist Gang was, they couldn't be this fast.
Moreover, he now had a faint trace of divine power protecting him, allowing him to sense the fluctuations in the nearby air currents.
Levi could sense the breathing of only one person outside the door, and that person's breathing was rapid, chaotic, and out of rhythm, feeling like a physically weak individual who was not good at exercising.
Sure enough, the next second he heard:
"E-Excuse me, is Mr. Levi home?"
A soft female voice, like a lark, rang out from outside the door. She had probably run all the way here, her breathing unsteady, so her voice carried a delicate, pleasant tremor.
Levi remained vigilant and temporarily did not reply.
"Ah... I didn't get the wrong place... Did the uncle who pointed the way give me the wrong house number?"
"Mr. Levi, are you there?"
"Who is it?" Levi didn't recognize this voice. But the voice was simply too delicate; it didn't sound like a bad guy. If a bad guy sounded like this, they probably wouldn't have the face to mingle in the underworld.
So he opened the door anyway, only to see standing outside...
Little leather boots, white silk stockings, a princess dress, long pink hair, wearing silk gloves, adorned with jeweled hair accessories, with red lips, white teeth, and bright, expressive eyes... a wealthy, beautiful young lady?
Seeing her, Levi felt as if time and space had been thrown into chaos.
Because this girl was so pretty that her very art style seemed a bit out of place.
She should be appearing at a high-society banquet in London, a fashion show in Paris, a luxury hotel in Dubai, or an idol stage in Tokyo... the only place she shouldn't be appearing was in this dilapidated apartment building in a Zaunite community.
It was too jarring, too incongruous.
And what made Levi feel even more bizarre was that, even though he had clearly never seen this girl before, he inexplicably found her somewhat familiar.
But she wasn't in the original owner's memories either.
'Wait...' Levi suddenly realized.
The one who found her familiar wasn't the original owner, but himself!
"Ah, isn't this that..."
"Hello, my name is Seraphine!" Without needing him to ask, Seraphine excitedly announced her name.
'It really is her!'
'The LOL champion, SP Sona!'
'Ahem... no, wait...'
'It's the [Starry-Eyed Songstress], Seraphine.'
'Right, she seems to be a Piltovan too.'
'But why would Seraphine come looking for me on her own initiative? When did I ever have any dealings with her?'
Just as Levi was puzzled, Seraphine acted as if she were possessed. The moment she saw him, her eyes lit up and she lunged forward.
She grabbed Levi's hand, excitedly holding it against her chest as she said,
"Levi, the song you composed is truly so beautiful... it's simply heavenly!"
"Let's sing together, okay? Let's sing together! Let's become music idols together!"
Levi had no words.
'What is this situation?'
'I never noticed when playing the game before, but Seraphine is a lunatic...'
"Um..." He uncomfortably broke free from Seraphine's grasp. "Excuse me, do we know each other?"
"Oh..." Seraphine finally calmed down a little. Remembering the lady-like education she had received over the past dozen years, she felt heat rise to her cheeks. "Mr. Levi, please allow me to introduce myself."
"My name is Seraphine, Seraphine Ivern."
"My father is your boss, Mr. Ivern, who runs the audio workshop."
'This...' Levi truly hadn't expected this.
So the boss's daughter, who had always hidden at home and never went out in the original owner's memories, was actually Seraphine!
"But even so... we've never met, right?"
"Yes, we haven't had the pleasure of meeting before this."
"You might not understand me yet, but Mr. Levi..." After barely a few words, that infatuated energy surged up again. "Actually, our souls have already tightly intertwined together!"
Levi: "..."
He suspected even more that this girl had a problem with her brain.
"Can I come in? I want to have a good chat with you."
Even as Seraphine asked this, she had already familiarly poked her head in past the doorframe.
She curiously observed Levi's little nest.
This shabby rented room was less than five square meters. With just a narrow bed and a simple sink installed inside, there was almost no room to stand.
Although the room was cleaned very thoroughly, the contradiction between the tenant's ever-increasing daily sundries and the constant, cramped living space still made the room appear extremely cluttered and crowded.
"Mr. Levi..."
Seraphine asked subconsciously,
"Is this your home's storage room?"
"This..." Levi's mouth twitched fiercely. "This is my home."
"Eh?" Seraphine still didn't believe it. "Really?"
"How can people live in something so small?"
He opened his mouth and closed it again.
"We can live in it, and it can even fit two." He shot the young lady an exasperated look. "My sister and I have been living here for over two years."
"You and your sister? Two people?"
"With just one bed, how do you live here?"
"I only work the night shift and sleep during the day. She goes to school during the day and sleeps at night. One bed is enough."
"Oh..." Seraphine seemed completely unable to imagine what that kind of life was like.
So she pressed on, "Then what about weekends and holidays? Do you siblings sleep together?"
"You're overthinking it... I don't have weekends or holidays."
"Not even a single day??"
"Not even a single day."
"How could you not have a single day... Don't Piltover workers all get two days off a week?"
Levi: "..."
'How could I not have a single day off...'
'You should go back and ask your dad about that, you fool!'
"Mr. Levi..." Seraphine suddenly pursed her lips aggrievedly. "Did I say something wrong?"
"Do you think I'm silly?"
'Hey, you even know that?'
'How did her IQ suddenly get higher?'
"No, no." Levi smiled politely. "Miss Seraphine, how could I think you're silly?"
'After all, she is the daughter of Mr. Ivern, who kindly helped me out, so I'll give her some face and not scold her.'
'She's already silly to begin with; there's no need to bully her.'
"Mr. Levi..." At some unknown point, Seraphine's hand had touched him again.
With their skin touching, their souls seemed to connect as well. "Are you not scolding me just to give my father face?"
"Huh?" Levi was suddenly startled.
'You can read my motherfucking mind??'
"Yes, I can."
'Holy shit, you actually motherfucking can?'
"Yes... Although I normally can't control it well at all, if there's physical contact, I can still 'hear' clearly."
'Holy shit, she really motherfucking can!'
Levi hastily took a step back, shaking off Seraphine's small hand.
"Also... Mr. Levi?"
"What is it?"
"Could you please stop bringing up my mother... She's not here."
He had absolutely no response to that.
