This is the last chapter of this story.
I know this ends rather abruptly. I'm not fully satisfied with how some of the later scenes turned out, and the MC's personality gradually drifted away from what I originally envisioned. Looking back, the story started strong but slowly lost the feeling I wanted it to have.
Instead of forcing it to continue, I've decided to end it here.

Now here's what happens after the battle:
The MC finishes in second place.
After the battle, sponsors approach him almost immediately with advertisements, endorsement deals, and contract offers. Before he can sign anything, his parents step in and block every single one.
He knows they're the behind.
He lets out a quiet sigh but doesn't argue. Instead, he accepts it and keeps moving forward
He continues catching Pokémon and settles his team. For battles: Scyther, Charmeleon, and Lucario. For the contest: Eevee, Milotic, and Absol. He keeps competing in the contest mainly for the prize money that even runners-up still receive.
Because of his contest results he starts drawing a lot of attention, especially from girls, but he mostly ignores it. Along the way he runs into Ultra Beasts. He doesn't have the right Ultra Balls to catch them properly, yet he still manages to attract a few. Later he does catch others, including Scorbunny, Pheromosa, and others.
At one point, he meets Ryan while Gil was working on a device (yes, the same Ryan from How Come All My Pokémon Want to Marry Me?). Ryan helps him to complete the device capable of traveling between different Pokémon worlds. (So In other words, Gil didn't meet Ryan by chance in his world.)
In the final scene, the MC activates the device, opens a portal, and steps through it into another Pokémon world.

Possible replacements
I've been thinking about a few directions.
1. Reincarnated as Korrina's Lucario
MC wakes up as Korrina's Pokémon, later gaining a double-leveling system. Both he and the Pokémon he does with level up together (think dual cultivation-style). He gains the ability to speak and slowly convince Korrina into traveling with him so she can chase her dream of winning 100 battles in a row. Relationships with other Pokémon are possible (rare but accepted in this world). Korrina gets jealous when he disappears with others. Strong potential for long-term adventure + relationship tension.
Also possible to keep the story strictly Korrina × Lucario.
2. Ash Ketchum reincarnated into a full anthro/furry hentai world.
3. Breeding farm
MC opens a farm in a world where humans can transform into Pokémon. Female Pokémon go into heat at different times and actively search for rare male partners (no Ditto exists). Almost pure smut, short self-contained scenes, very little overarching plot.
4. Exploration of an older, wilder Pokémon world
No modern battling system. The world is still mostly unknown. Slow-burn discovery story. One main Pokémon. Can stay mostly clean or add limited romance if the main Pokémon is female.
5. Femboy Lucario short stories
Short, focused pieces where the MC is drawn to femboy Pokémon.
6. Other
7. Revised:
I haven't fully decided on it yet, but it will be a revised version of the original Gil novel, this time with a different Pokémon as the starter. Unlike the original, the story will stay consistent with its direction from beginning to end.

Now, pick one.
1, 2, 4, and 7 have enough potential to become long-running novels, while 3 and 5 are better suited for shorter stories.
