"Are you okay?" I asked as Elowen placed a hand on her forehead.
"Yeah, just feeling drowsy," she mumbled, but Darian was sweating with guilt.
"You should take her to her room," I said to him.
He forced a smile and reached for her hand.
"Don't touch me," Elowen snapped.
His eyes dimmed, but he still maintained his usual calm expression.
She stood up herself and immediately staggered, but Darian caught her before she could fall. He dragged her away as she babbled incoherently.
Kael watched them leave before turning to me.
"He drugged the drink, right?" His eyes dimmed.
"Kael, don't worry," I said.
Then Azrael's hand landed on mine. Before I could protest, the other three did the same.
"What's happening?" I asked.
"Come back with us. Your room, it's st—"
"Don't you know it's against the law to covet what belongs to others. Stop with the lies. Raven wouldn't believe any of it!" Kael chirped in.
It made my blood boil.
