Just as the monster was about to bite her head off, Rhea used her unreal flexibility to bend back and escaped it's jaws.
Suddenly missing it's target, the monster stumbled a bit. Capitaling on the opening she sprang forward and made a swift strike at the monster' side.
Tunning around to see the result of her work and seeing only a thin line of blood oozing from the area she had cut, Rhea's expression turned grim.
The monster immediately lunged at her once again unfazed by that minor injury.
"Shit...! It's skin is too thick. I can't penetrate it with my daggers", muttering to herself Rhea analysed the monster trying to find any kind of weakness while jumping around and evading the monster's attacks.
After trying for some time and finding no weaknesses whatsoever, despite injuring it multiple times, she finally decided to take a risk to at least incapacitate the monster.
Rhea first created some distance from the six legged dog monster and waited for it's next attack with extreme focus.
*Grrrr....*
The monster, despite being twice her height couldn't touch her at all because of her unreal movements that would break other's back just from watching it. So when it saw her standing still in the distance, it released a threatening growl and launched itself forward with all of it's power.
Rhea sheather one of her daggers and readied her stance, patiently waiting , while the monster swiftly covered the distance. Just before that monstrosity collided with her, she used all her strength and jumped, nimbly landing on the monster's neck and used her left arm to grab it's fur and steady herself.
Before the monster could realise what was happening, she raised the dagger in her right arm and plunged it straight into the creature's right eye.
*Roaaarrrrrr...*
The monster roared with pain and started thrashing around to shake off the unpaid rider on it's back.
Holding on to the monster's neck for dear life, Rhea raised her dagger once more and stabbed it's remaining left eye with all her strength.
*Rooooaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...*
After losing both of it's eyes, due to the sudden pain and blindness, the monster started running everywhere while repeatedly shaking it's head to shake her off. Holding onto the monster's neck and using her dagger embedded in it's eye, Rhea tried really hard to change the monster's direction while it was running.
After struggling for some time, her efforts finally paid off. And now the monster was running towards the crimson gate where new monsters were pouring forth non-stop.
When the dog monster was about to crash into other monsters, she jumped from it's back and started her attack on other monsters', especially their eyes, causing even more chaos.
Like this, Rhea mainly targeted lone monsters going towards the school building and damaged their sight. With some effort, she once again made them crash towards the groups of monsters nearby the gate.
But she wasn't entirely unscathed doing these dangerous stunts.
Once, when she was evading the pincers of a scorpion like monster, one of the bipedal monsters nearby managed to slash at her back, throwing her off.
And the other time, due to her accumulating fatigue, she failed to dodge the claws of an alligator monster. The result of which is her left arm, hanging loosely at her side after blocking the attack.
Despite the injuries, Rhea still kept it up.
But even with all her skills, Rhea was only an ordinary human. The blood loos and fatigue were catching upto her, blurring her vision.
The only reason she hasn't collapsed already was the her conviction to protect the students no matter the cost. But even that has it's limits.
While she was dodging the claws of another one of those dog monsters, a lizard like monster managed to land an attack on her back with it's powerful tail, throwing her towards the jaws of blood thirsty abominations hungry for her blood.
Rhea's mind was slipping in and out of consciousness due to the devastating attack.
Just when she thought she was about to become a meal for those disgusting monsters, two powerful hands caught her mid-air in a princess carry, before the owner of those hands landed softly on the ground.
Still holding her in his arms, the most handsome man she had ever seen in entire her life turned towards her, before saying with a light smile that made her heart skip multiple beats.
"Hey there, Dear Teacher...!"
