Chapter 9 - Lifelong Regret

[ Special Note From The System :

You are a 10 million year old Virgin. Just get laid already 😮‍💨 ]

When Graham read down to the last line, he nearly choked on his saliva.

"Damn system…"

[ Yes Masterrrr...!!! ( blinks eyes innocently) ]

"Are you making fun of me?"

[ Whatever could you mean? ]

"I knew it, so you were making fun of me"

[ I have absolutely no idea… ]

"Haa … Fine. Have it your way"

"Now tell me, why can you reply to me when you should only be able to notify me on my progress. At least, according to my previous life's knowledge."

[ Since the Universe needs it guardian to recover faster, it kinda upgraded your system to help you. That's how you got the Forgotten God's System with an advanced Artificial intelligence (myself) as a bonus ]

"Oh… I thought it was just the name and colour of the status screen that's changed because of how awesome I am"

[ Wow! What a narcissist ]

"Look who it is coming from..."

"Anyway, since you are an AI, I can't keep calling you 'system' like in my previous life. So let's decide on a name for you."

[ I'm listening... ]

"How about 'Lisa' ?"

[ It's good. But, ]

"What?"

[ Master, You are a pervert... ]

"Why?"

[ You just named a genderless system with a girl's name...🙊 ]

' Whatever! '

Ignoring the system's jab, Graham once again focused on the special note. To be perfectly honest, that was his

Regret of a Lifetime.

"I was so obsessed with honing my weapon, that I didn't take a single moment in the past to

Slow down myself,

And enjoy my life."

Because only with that kind of mindset can one become the First to Ascend in his whole Universe.

But when he sat on the highest peak after all those wars and battles, It all felt so very lonely and meaningless without having anyone by his side.

Now that Graham is about to start from the beginning though, he planned to enjoy his life to the fullest by surrounding himself with beauties that will love and care for him for eternity.

He still planned to take his revenge, but that can wait until after he attained enough power to crush those cowards.

Affirming to himself, he once again focused on his status screen and noticed how he got a new trait.

'I should've gotten this trait because I had some comprehension about Origin Mana and my soul was even more exposed to it while travelling with the Universal Treasure Fragment for millions of years before my rebirth' Graham thought.

"Being able to use Origin Mana when I lack the necessary comprehension to control it is definitely a welcome thing."

Next,

'I should've gotten the bloodline as a result of the soul fusion influencing my body'

"Damn...it's effects are insane. With this I will be able reach my previous peak way sooner"

"Also my base stats are higher than normal - should have been because of my bloodline."

In the ability section,

"Eye of the Forgotten God is definitely a game changer. Knowing an enemy's weakness beforehand, I can kill them without breaking a sweat."

"Being able to differentiate your friends from enemies by reading their emotions is just an added bonus"

Moving on,

'I didn't know the universal Treasure had skills because I wasn't able to analyse it in my previous life.'

"Being able to open any and all doors with the Master Key is definitely cheating"

"But when you think about it, the treasure was made from the Origin power of the Universe, so it kinda makes perfect sense."

Added info;

Traits are something you were born with. They were so rare Graham only got to know about 2 of them having it.

Even if it's a weak trait, it's very useful since it doesn't need mana to use and you don't need practice to use it unlike skills that need lots of practice to increase your mastery on them.

Origin Mana is what Graham named the foreign mana from the Higher Universe.

Because, from what he understood about it during his past life, It was even capable of creating matter from nothing,

unlike the mana of his own universe that can only change the already existing matter by bending the laws.
