Chapter 11 - Sunlight

Five months later.

I stand alone in the dojo.

Silence gives me a pleasant feeling.

I see my hands.

They are ready for a fight.

I hear a footstep.

I turn. It is Auron.

"Zeo!" he calls. I watch him.

He walks towards me.

"Is your training completed?" he asks.

I smile. No words.

"The sunlight is waiting for you," he continues.

"Come outside!"

He turns and walks towards the door.

"Auron sir!" I say.

His head turns.

"I can't learn the last one," I say.

He grins.

"It doesn't mean you can't," he continues.

"The time comes."

His words trigger a fire in me.

That fire is going to burn this system.

He leaves.

I walk towards the sunlight.

I step out of the dojo.

The sunlight touches my skin after five months.

There is a neem tree.

I sit under its shade.

Wind grazes my skin.

"Finally, you finished," a voice says.

I lift my head. It is Prime.

His face beams.

"Yes," I reply.

"You are not the only one who trained hard," he says.

I smile.

I hold his hand and rise.

"What next?" I ask.

His face dulls.

"Pacto Kingdom soldiers are searching for Prince," he says.

"Pacto Kingdom?" I ask.

"Yes," he continues.

"My elder sister wants to kill him."

"A sister!" I exclaim.

"We are now three," he says.

"What does 'now' mean?" I ask.

"My elder sister also had a twin sister," he says.

"What happened to her?" I ask.

"They killed her," he continues.

"She was an Ainen."

The moment seizes me.

My heart shatters.

Tears fill my eyes. I wipe them.

I watch Prime's face.

His face looks numb.

He hides his emotions.

He embraces the pain.

I have to share his pain.

I smile.

"Prime," I say, "you don't need to carry all the pain."

He watches me.

Tears drip.

For the first time, he cries.

I touch his shoulder.

"I swear, I will stand along with you," I say.

He wipes his tears.

"Thank you, Zeo Sol," he says.

Auron rushes towards us.

His face looks tense.

"Where… where is Prince?" he asks.

My heart races. I can't feel anything.

Fear arises.

"Did you search everywhere?" I ask.

"Yes," he replies.

Dullness in his word.

I have to find him without delay.

I turn.

Prime is not here.

"Where is Prime?" I ask.

"I didn't notice him," Auron says.

Fear surges.
