Chapter 56 - Alicia Went to His School.

When I was finished with the dishes, I sat on one of the chairs at the dining table. Checking the flower ring that Alicia gave me.

"Millien there's something you wanted to say right?"

Millien hopped and sat on the table in front of me, while Alicia sat on the chair beside me.

"It's about Alicia. There's something unique about her. The ghost eater wasn't able to chip away her soul. Haven't you noticed it struggling?"

"I did. And I wanted to ask you about that too."

"Alicia's soul is very pure. It serves as her strength and weakness at the same time. More will be coming after her, to devour her. She's a gourmet to ghost eaters."

I clenched my fists hearing this. That's a problem I needed to prepare in advance. Maybe something stronger will come after her soul.

"Next question. How did she do this?" I put the flower ring on the table.

Alicia smiled looking at it. Then at me giggling.

"Kuya, you like it?"

"Like it? I love it! It's wonderful, Alicia."

Because it truly was.

The item was so amazing.

"So, how did you do it?" I asked Alicia this time.

"Millien told me that I can put the cotton like fluff that's in my hair. And put it in the flower." Alicia explained with gestures and actions to deliver what she meant.

"Anthony, the ghost eater's bite didn't penetrate her soul, but it created a little hole, just a tiny bit of it that's now making her essence flow out. You need to make it stop. Find something that could patch that hole up. She's becoming a walking beacon with that." Millien explained worriedly.

"Is that why you kept her company, every time?"

"Yes. I can't afford to leave her side until that's fixed. But, she'll be much safer with you by her side."

I frowned and sighed. Keeping myself calm, to be able to think.

"Alright. Starting tomorrow, Alicia... you're going to go to Kuya's school okay?" I smiled at her and ruffled her hair.

Alicia jumped happily, like she's just going on a filed trip.

That night, I barely even slept.

Just as promised, I took Alicia to school with me.

I made her sit on my lap, as I was waiting for the class to start. Gino and Sarah walked in together and stopped by the door seeing Alicia with me.

"Kuya, this is your classroom? Is your teacher going to be angry because I'm here?" Alicia was fully of energy, like she wanted to walk around but was behaving for my sake.

"Nobody can see you, but those two. My friends. Gino and Sarah. You remembered them right?" I pointed towards the two, who were now walking towards us.

"The sweet litte sister is here." Sarah said smiling.

Alicia smiled back and giggled.

They sat to their seats and when the other students went in, we adjusted out voices and kept it low.

"You will behave for me right? I'm gonna be listening to the teacher. You can only walk around the classroom. No going out? And Millien will be with you. Also, no touching. Okay, Alicia?" I set her down on the floor and she nodded.

But a child remains a child even in ghost form. Her curiosity spiked and she was making a scene in some way.

Sarah, Gino and me?

We were pretty much distracted. Millien has no intention of stopping Alicia, while seated on her shoulder.

She went to on of my classmate, peeked on whatever he was doing and blurted out.

"Kuya, this guy is sleeping." She even poked his cheek.

Impulses. I guess.

The three of us were trying our best not to laugh. Not to give a reaction. But it was so hard.

Alicia accidentally hit the book that the guy was using as a cover, and waa now caught sleeping.

"Mr. Dimasalang! Sleeping in class are we now?"

The professor's voice was so loud, that made Alicia startle. She hurried to my seat and hid behind me.

Thinking she was seen.

The sleeping guy sat straight up and scratched his head, apologizing for sleeping in class

And it didn't end up there.

When it was lunch, Cynthia saw us and joined in our table. With a few of her own friends. Since our table still have three vacant chairs.

"Who's the little girl? Your sister?" She asked, leaning forward smiling.

I looked at Cynthia....and realized I only told her I have a sister. And not that she's a ghost.

"C-Cynthia...what girl?" I stuttered a bit, shaking my head.

Sarah and Gino did the same thing. Discreetly telling her now to talk about it.

But it was too late. Cynthia's friends caught up to it.

"Cynthia was girl? Are you hallucinating? Because if not? You're scaring us." One girl said.

Cynthia then got what I meant. And made an excuse.

"I mean. Anthony will be bringing his sister to my house tomorrow." She smiled, like it was nothing.

But I could see in her eyes that she's full of questions and also staring at Millien on Alicia's shoulders, like she wanted to pick him up and cuddle.

We had our lunch, not even talking that much, except for Cynthia's friends who were both chatterboxes.

And the whole afternoon class was a bit chaotic.

Alicia began opening books our of curiosity and tried to read them. Millien was even teaching her how.

That was a very moving scene if only they could see what I and Gino could.

All they've seen was...

The book...opening by itself. Flipped page per page.

Before it gets out of control. I took out my rechargeable handheld fan and aimed it at the book.

"It's just the wind from my fan. Nothing much." I chuckled dryly.

"You sure? Because the wind's blowing from the other side, and the pages are flipping on the other.." my classmate said, quite getting scared.

That was her seat, and her book. But Gino came to the rescue and closed the book, then smirked.

"You're just scaring yourself." He said with his usual playboy charm.

She didn't pushed it and nodded.

While I was shaking my head. It's just day 1 of bringing Alicia to school.
