After taking a breather. The demon's body was nowhere to be found. It disappeared into tiny particles.
The women were now glowing. The chains tying them loosed up tremendously that their faces, were bright
They're back to their original features before they died. Without having my skill toggled on.
And the sun hast started showing up. I was battling that demon all night.
Wait... More like, having a crisis rather than fighting it.
I wasn't even able to use the dagger I purchased with 100 points just because I fell down the ground, by this curse inflicted on me.
I lay on the ground, as the adrenaline disappeared. I could feel my whole body sore.
I got bruises on my body from being dragged quite a long way. I can't go home like this or Lola Aurora would be worried.
"System, is there anything I can use to heal my wounds and bruises?" I was looking up at it. And I'm getting drowsy.
[HOLY WATER: 100 POINTS]
[HEALS WOUNDS, BRUISES, ILLNESSES AND OTHER HEALTH ISSUES. CURSED CAN BE NULLIFIED TOO.]
I purchased it with hesitation. And I felt like I've been played. 100 points is a lot.
I drank it immediately and my body felt lighter, not even a hint of the fight left in my body.
I sat down and checked my stomach, my shirt might be torn but my skin was now unscathed.
"This is great!"
[HOST HAS BEEN HEALED. CURSE HAS BEEN NULLIFIED.]
I can't be any happier than this. Even my drowsiness was gone.
I looked at Kuya Tonyo who's still unconscious till now. Just waiting for him to wake up.
"He's not dead right?" I poked his cheek with a stick.
I saw his brows furrowed which made me relieved.
"He's alive. And he needs to own the crime he did." Sharon said, as she floated closer to me.
"Since we're waiting for him to wake up. What are you gonna do about this little guy?" Paula was holding the duwende by the collar and presented it to me.
"Oi oi. Put me down you ghost! Do you even know me?" The duwende said, flailing around as it was dangled.
But Paula didn't like the little guy's tone. And swung her hand in circles. Spinning the poor little guy round and round.
"Stop...stop.... I'm getting dizzy!" It complained. Its little voice was reaching a higher octave.
"Paula, let the poor guy go. I still have some unresolved issues with it." I reached out my hand, and opened it, palm out.
"Fine. Here. But if that guy starts acting arrogant again, I'll threw him into the fire." Paula said, while tossing the little guy on my palm.
Then she walked back towards the rest of the ghosts.
"Thaaank youuuuuu..." It said, while still seeing stars.
"So....about the cursing. You made me lose 100 points because of it." I glared at it. And it stopped it's little staggers and glared back at me.
"You vomited on me. I'm used to someone pissing on my home, not vomiting." It was stomping on my palm. It was weightless.
"That's even worse." I said, with pity.
"And they received worse curses. They die eventually. Good thing for you, it was just bad luck." It crossed its little arm and puffed.
"So those mounds are real houses? I thought they're just means to scare me away from pissing over it." I said casually.
That earned me a much more intense glare from it.
"You humans are cruel and vicious people. And when you're getting retaliated by your own actions, you'll start blaming us!" It was now puffing, with red cheeks.
It was furious.
Well, can't blame it. Some, really does do it to mock the superstitious beliefs. But it was real after all.
"Well. I'll apologize for them. But aren't you supposed to return something to me?" I looked at it with a bit of disappoinment.
It started fidgeting. The earlier anger dissipating into someone who just got caught stealing.
Because it did.
"What do you mean?" It looked away from me and even whistled.
"What did it do Anthony?" Paula walked closer to us again after hearing what I said.
The little guy immediately freaked out seeing Paula getting closer.
"Wait. Here... It's here.... I'm returning it. Just don't let that ghost spin me around again!" It was even kneeling.
Practically, begging not to be held by Paula at all.
The missing bead from the holy rosary it took materialized in front of me. And after checking the repair features.
It pissed me off. The repair only cost 1 point. And because it was missing a bid. The system decided to exploit me.
That's my reality. It refuses to be exploited but it's doing it against me.
If there's a customer care feature, I would have complained already. It's 1/10 for the experience.
"Thank you. You, should have given everything to me when I asked for it." I was smiling but, I wasn't grateful at all.
I stood up and met Paula halfway. And tossed the little guy towards her.
"Give him a little spin for stealing a bead from my item."
Paula caught it, and smirked mischievously.
"A little spin? Anthony, there's much better ways to punish a thief." She said cooly.
Paula then grabbed a vine, which amazingly was, she's able to touch things now. She tied it on the duwende's little foot and dangled it.
Then with all her might, she spins the little guys around. Much more impactful since the vine was gaining momentum more than using just an arm.
[ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: ONE THAT CAN'T BE BULLIED.]
[GAINED +10 POINTS]
Great. Bullying someone else was giving me an achievement. Better not let anyone bully me. Or take advantage of me.
[HEH]
That again.
I know what the system is thinking. I'm so proud of myself while it was exploiting me every turn it gets.
One day.
I'll make sure to overwork this stupid system!
