Yichen started coming less often, he also started avoiding school.
Not because he didn't case - but because he cared too much.
Watching her knowing she would leave...was unbearable.
Rose notice.
"You're avoiding me," she said one day in school.
"I am not." He replied.
"You're."
Silence.
Yichen looked away. "What's the point, Rose?"
Her chest tightened. "What do you mean?"
"You're leaving."
"So that's it?" She asked softly. "You just give up?"
"I am trying not to get hurt."
Rose's eye's filled with emotion. "And what about me?"
Silence....
