Chapter 1: Leaving London
Rain tapped softly against the window as Rose watched the city she loved fade behind. London had always felt like home- the quiet parks, the familiar streets, the calm rhythm of life. But now everything was changing.
Rose POV : I am Rose Taylor moving from London to Shanghai with my family as my father got transferred.
"Rose, we're going to be late", her mother called gently. She nodded, though her heart felt heavy "Do you think I'll like it there?" She asked. Her father smiled. " Shanghai is full of life. You'll find your place." Rose forced a smile as she was not so sure. She wasn't afraid of New City, she was afraid of starting over, she was afraid about what she was losing her best friend, her school, her normal life. As she boarded the plane, she didn't look back, because she knew...if she did she might not be able to leave.
