Shuwon began shouting in panic, "Vajra! Vajra!"
In front of him, Vajra's body was floating in the air. The terrifying power of the demonic core was surging through him, tearing and ripping his skin apart as if his body could not withstand the overwhelming energy.
Through the chaos, Vajra faintly heard his father's voice calling out to him. Struggling to regain his senses, he slowly became aware of his surroundings. When his mind cleared for a moment, he realized how badly his body had been damaged by the demonic power of the core. Every part of him felt shattered, and he didn't have the strength to move even an inch.
His body suddenly lost control, and vajra began to fall from the sky, his consciousness fading away.
"Vajra!"
Shuwon rushed forward and caught him just before he hit the ground. Carefully, he laid Vajra down in the ground and quickly took out a healing pill from his storage ring. Without wasting a single moment, he placed the pill into Vajra's mouth. Then pill slip through his mouth and get in his stomach.
After few seconds passed.
The medicine began to take effect, and Vajra's wounds glowing faint golden and then it slowly started to heal. The torn flesh gradually closed, and the bleeding stopped. After some time, most of his injuries had recovered.
But Vajra still didn't wake up. He remained unconscious, lying silently on the ground. His breathing steady but weak. Shuwon observed him carefully and let out a long breath.
"I think he doesn't have the strength to wake up yet… but his life is no longer in danger."
Relief washed over Shuwon's face, but it was mixed with deep regret. He blamed himself for what happen to vajra.
Perhaps he had made a mistake. Perhaps he should have arranged a proper master to guide Vajra on his path instead of letting him face such dangers alone.
Shuwon gently picked Vajra up. Then he took the demonic core with him. Without saying another word, he turned and left, carrying his unconscious son with him.
After a few days, Vajra finally woke up.
The moment he opened his eyes, he realized that his body had completely healed. The pain and injuries caused by the demonic core were gone, as if they had never existed.
Seeing that Vajra had awakened, the maid who had been taking care of him widened her eyes in surprise.
"Young master!" she exclaimed.
Without wasting any time, she hurried out of the room and ran to inform the clan leader—Vajra's father.
Shuwon was a powerful cultivator of the clan, possessing elite king, seventh-star power, and he also had the rare ability to summon beasts to fight for him.
When the maid delivered the news, Shuwon immediately rushed toward Vajra's room.
He pushed the door open and saw Vajra sitting up on the bed, perfectly fine.
For a moment, Shuwon froze.
Then the tension on his face slowly disappeared, replaced by relief. Vajra looked at his father and spoke gently.
"Sorry, Father… I made you worry."
Shuwon shook his head.
"It's okay, son. What matters is that you're safe."
But Vajra's expression suddenly turned serious. It seemed like he had already made up his mind about something.
"Father," he asked curiously, "where can I find a refining flame?"
Shuwon frowned slightly in confusion.
"Why do you need a refining flame?" he asked.
"I read it in a book," Vajra said calmly. "To merge two cores and souls, refining flame is required."
Shuwon's expression immediately turned serious.
"That method is extremely dangerous," he said firmly. "If someone cannot control their mind and soul during the process, the beast core will take control of the owner's body and destroy the original soul."
He paused, looking straight into Vajra's eyes.
"In that process… you might also die. You understand that, don't you?"
For a moment, the room fell silent.
Vajra lowered his gaze, clenching his fists. When he looked up again, his eyes were filled with determination—and a trace of anger.
"It's better to die than live as someone weak," Vajra said firmly. "Let me try it, Father."
Shuwon was stunned by his son's words.
He could see the burning determination in Vajra's eyes—the same stubborn will he once had in his youth.
For a long moment, Shuwon didn't speak and looked at Vajra.
Seeing the unwavering confidence in his son's eyes, his expression slowly changed into one of surprise.
"Alright," Shuwon finally said. "I will start searching for a refining flame."
Vajra's face brightened slightly.
"Thank you, Father."
After a moment, Vajra spoke again with determination.
"If I want to absorb the demonic core, I must first become physically and mentally strong."
Shuwon nodded.
"If you want to possess a refining flame, you must have a body strong enough to hold it," he said seriously.
"I know that, Father," Vajra replied. "That's why I will train my body and mind until the day I obtain a refining flame."
His expression was filled with confidence.
