The preparation didn't take long, they didn't require banners or formal arrangements or the kind of elaborate setup that marked other significant pack events. A pack vote was exactly what it sounded like with wolves standing in a circle and making a collective decision and the simplicity of the mechanism was precisely what made it dangerous.
There was nothing to slow it down and nothing to complicate it.
Just wolves. And a question. And whatever lived in each of them when they were asked to answer it honestly in front of everyone else.
