The Bathroom — Continuedhe
Johnny finishes washing his hands at the sink.
The lights begin to flicker. Slow at first. Then steady.
"...The hell is that? I'm out."
He stops.
A sound. From one of the stalls.
Johnny goes completely still. He drops slowly to the floor and checks under every stall door.
Nothing. Empty. Every single one.
He stands back up.
Takes a step toward the exit —
The sound again.
Johnny drops back down —
And this time he sees It. A figure in red, silently climbing down from the top of one of the stalls.
Johnny squints.
"What the…" He stands up and moves closer. "How did I not see him up there? …I really need to get my prescription checked."
He steps up right in front of the stall —
The door swings open.
Moster.
Blade already raised.
"WHAT THE—"
Johnny throws both hands up and catches the knife between his palms, stopping the stab dead.
"There's a KILLER in the university bathroom — you gotta be Jason, man, you're the only one crazy enough to pull this—"
Moster says nothing.
He draws back and pistol-whips Johnny clean across the face.
Johnny hits the floor, nose bleeding.
The bathroom door opens — a girl walks in.
The lights stop flickering. Back to normal. Steady.
Moster is gone.
The girl stares at Johnny on the floor, completely confused.
"...Why are you on the floor? What are you doing in here?"
Johnny blinks up at her, blood dripping from his face.
"There was a kill—"
"A what?"
Johnny stops himself. Looks at her. Looks around the empty bathroom.
"...Forget it. Hold on — why are YOU in the boys' bathroom?"
The girl shrugs, completely unbothered.
"It was closer. I just need to fix my makeup real quick."
"...Fair enough."
Johnny pulls himself up off the floor and walks out.
The girl watches him go.
"...Weird kid."
She turns to the mirror and starts fixing her makeup.
Outside — The Hallway
Johnny pushes through the door, muttering to himself.
"There is a killer in this school. Gotta be Jason — he's literally the only person I've seen walking around with a blade—"
"Yo."
Johnny turns. Son is standing there with Leo and George, staring at his arm.
"Bro… why is there blood on your arm?"
Johnny looks down.
"What the — damn. He must've caught me before he disappeared."
"Who?" George steps forward.
"Y'all are gonna think I'm crazy."
George goes very still.
"...Black mask? Red outfit? Red light where his eyes should be?"
Johnny stares at him.
"...You know him?"
"He came after me in the library," George says. "Almost killed me. His name is Moster. See Leo? I wasn't hallucinating — I told you."
Leo opens his mouth. Closes it.
"I still don't — I mean — I don't know man, I can't just—"
"Leo." Johnny holds up his bloody arm. "Explain this."
"Things are sharp, bro. You could've caught that on anything in there—"
"Son," Johnny says, turning to him directly.
Son looks at the arm. Looks at George. Looks back at Johnny.
"...I believe you. Or — honestly I believed It before just now." He exhales. "What's your name?"
"Johnny Wilson."
"I'm Son Chad. This is Leo Martin. And this Is George Marco." Son extends his hand. "Roll with us."
Johnny looks at the three of them for a moment.
Then he smiles — small, genuine, like something in his chest just relaxed for the first time all day.
"Yeah. Okay. I'm down." He shakes Son's hand. "I already feel better just standing here with y'all, no cap."
"Aight then," Son says. "Come on — we're going back to that bathroom to check it out."
"...Yeah, okay," Johnny says.
"Let's go," Son says, turning to Leo and George.
Leo and George exchange a look.
"...Fine."
The Bathroom — The Girl Alone
The girl snaps her makeup bag shut and checks herself one last time in the mirror.
"Done."
She grabs her bag and heads for the door —
The lights begin to flicker.
She glances up.
"...Whatever."
She reaches for the handle —
The door swings open from the other side.
Moster steps out from behind it.
His hand shoots out and clamps around her throat before she can make a sound, slamming her back against the wall. She opens her mouth to scream —
He covers it with his other hand.
Then drives the blade into her chest. Hard.
He pushes her Into the nearest stall, locks It behind them. The knife comes up again —
And again.
And again.
And again.
Blood begins spreading across the tile floor, seeping out from under the stall door in a slow dark line.
He draws the blade across her throat. The blood hits his mask, streaking across the black surface in red.
She goes still.
Moster reaches up slowly and lifts the lower half of his mask — just enough.
His mouth is full of fangs.
He leans down toward her neck —
And bites.
From outside the bathroom, through the walls — the sound of tearing. Wet. Violent.
Blood creeps up the stall walls. Reaches the ceiling. Drips.
The Hallway — Moments Later
Son pushes through the bathroom door first, the others right behind him.
"This is where he came at you?" Son asks, scanning the room.
"Yeah, right here," Johnny says.
"Guys."
George's voice.
They all turn.
One stall at the far end — completely soaked in blood. Dripping from the bottom. Pooling on the tile.
Leo stares at It.
"...One. Two. Three."
He pushes the door open.
Emma Kane. What's left of her.
Cut apart. Sections of her missing entirely. Blood covering every surface of the stall from floor to ceiling.
Nobody speaks.
Nobody moves.
"What the hell..." Leo finally breathes. "Oh my God."
"George," Son says, his voice somehow steady. "Go get the professors. Now. Run."
"On it."
George is already gone.
Johnny stares at the stall, jaw tight.
"That's her. The girl who came in to fix her makeup."
Leo turns slowly and looks at Johnny. Then at Son. Then back at the stall.
"...Okay," he says quietly. "I believe you. There's a killer."
Five Hours Later — Outside The University
News vans line the street. Camera lights cut through the evening air. A reporter stands In front of the university gates, microphone up.
"A horrific crime here tonight at a New York university. Student Emma Kane was found brutally murdered inside a campus bathroom — her body mutilated, with what investigators are describing as bite marks consistent with… consumption."
She pauses.
"This comes just one week after the murder of Mr. John Chad — father of Son Chad, also a student at this very university. Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Stay safe out there. Goodnight."
Outside The University
Gowin walks across campus, spotting Johnny with a small smile.
"Johnny! Look at you — already made some friends?"
"Yeah," Johnny says. "Gowin, these are my people."
Son looks at her curiously.
"Who's she?"
"This is Gowin. She's the one who got Jason off my back earlier."
"Ah, got it."
Gowin gives a small wave.
"I'm Gowin Jan. What's up, guys."
"Son Chad," Son says. "This is Leo Martin and George Marco."
"Hey."
"Hey."
"What's up."
"So," Gowin says, her expression shifting. "You guys hear about that girl — Emma?"
"We're actually the ones who found her," Johnny says.
Gowin stares at him.
"...For real?"
"Yeah."
She's quiet for a moment.
"Can I roll with y'all? Look into this together?"
Son nods without hesitation.
"Absolutely. More of us means we're safer. But we don't split up — not for anything. This thing targets whoever's alone. Everyone clear?"
"Clear."
"Yeah."
"Got it."
"I'm in."
"Okay so real talk," Johnny says, lowering his voice. "I think the killer IS Jason. I think Moster is just a name he made up so nobody figures out it's him."
"Same," Leo says, nodding slowly. "Think about it — the dude Is mentally unstable. He can't stand anyone who's doing better than him. He's a fraud and everyone knows it."
"Maybe," Gowin says. "But there's also this girl — Gina. She's been on my case for a while. She's not exactly sane either."
George turns to Son.
"What about you, Son? Who do you think it is?"
Son is quiet for a moment.
"I don't know. But if Jason is targeting people at this school — why would he kill my dad? My dad didn't even go here."
"Could be jealousy," Leo says. "Your dad had money. Jason's got nothing — his old man is a known drunk. Maybe he saw what your family had and snapped."
"Damn Leo, that actually makes sense," George says.
"Alright," Son says. "We need more before we move on Jason. What's our evidence right now?"
"He's the only person on this whole campus walking around with a blade," Johnny says.
"True. But we can't go at him until we can prove it's him. We expose him first — and then when we confirm he's the killer—"
"We kill him," George says.
The group goes quiet.
"...Yeah," George says again. "Who's with me?"
One by one —
"All of us."
"I'm in."
"Let's do it."
"Yeah. We end It."
Leo looks around at all of them.
"Whoever this is — Jason or somebody else — we find him. And we kill him."
"We kill him," they say together.
Somewhere beyond the tree line, far from where they're standing —
Moster watches.
Still. Silent.
He raises his blade. Looks at it. The blood on the steel catches the light.
He wipes it clean slowly.
And disappears into the dark.
