Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: The High Commander's Gate

The blazing, multi-colored projectile descended from the sky like an apocalyptic hammer, completely warping the light of the bleeding nebula.

[The Thermal Shockwave]

BOOM!

The [FROSTFIRE MASTERPIECE: FROZEN METEOR] slammed squarely onto the central skull of the Cerberus. The impact didn't trigger a standard kinetic explosion; instead, it unleashed the raw, unadulterated terror of the temperature paradox.

In a fraction of a millisecond, the mythical hellhound's massive physical frame was completely frozen solid into a translucent, pale-blue crystalline structure of absolute-zero ice. But simultaneously, from the very core of those frozen cells, the hyper-concentrated orange plasma of the Blaze erupted outward. The beast's body was melting and freezing at the exact same coordinate, the diametrically opposed molecular forces tearing its physical and spiritual matter apart.

Unable to withstand the absolute structural stress of the paradox, the Cerberus didn't even have the time to screech. Its colossal frame instantly vaporized into a cloud of sparkling, glowing dust, leaving behind nothing but empty air on the platform.

Hiss...

Steam poured from the overheating exhaust vents of Captain Carod's armor as his emergency battery cells shut down. Shifting out of his heavy elemental state, Carod landed on the silver-obsidian ground softly in his base form. His knee joints clicked as he balanced himself, his breathing heavily regulated by his internal processors.

He didn't waste a single second celebrating. "How much time do we still have left?!"

Yoru checked her system interface, her sharp eyes scanning the crimson numbers flashing in the sky. "The battle took exactly two minutes. We still have thirteen minutes before the dimensional collapse!"

Carod slammed his heavy metal fist against his chest chassis, pointing toward the massive dark gate ahead. "Fast! Open the gate! Don't let those seconds go to waste!"

[The Spaceship Frenzy]

Up on the orbital command deck of the mothership, SK was practically leaping on top of the broadcasting terminal, his hands waving in absolute hysteria.

"HE VAPORIZED IT!" SK screamed into his microphone, his voice echoing across millions of planetary networks. "Did you see that, viewers?! The temperature paradox didn't just defeat a mythical gatekeeper—it completely erased it from the database! Absolute-zero freezing and melting at the exact same time! Captain Carod has officially set a new standard for combat! And look at the livestream metrics breaking the galactic ceiling right now!"

The live forum box next to the feed was scrolling at a rendering speed that was causing the ship's monitor to glitch out from the sheer volume of data:

User_SolarFlare99: "BRO WHAT?!?! He actually deleted a Cerberus in two minutes flat! Carod is the absolute goat of the Northern Galaxy!"

ManhwaFan_01: "The temperature paradox visual was insane! The ice was literally burning! Saina, please tell me your drones recorded that in 8K!"

Galaxy_Brain_99: "I called it! I said it was blue and orange! SK, WHERE IS MY 1000 GOLD COIN PAYOUT?! Send it to my interface right now!"

Z_Rank_Watcher: "13 minutes left on the clock... They need to sprint down that hallway. If the gatekeeper was a myth, the High Commander is going to be a cosmic nightmare."

The comedic reprieve of the victory evaporated the millisecond the team faced the looming dark barrier. The remaining thirteen minutes were no longer just a countdown—they were the final grains of sand before a total eclipse.

[The Red Eye Activation]

Saina sprinted over to the cooling captain, her star-glasses reflecting his steaming chassis as she pulled out a digital stylus pad. "Captain! That was magnificent! Can I get your autograph right now?!"

"This is not the time for getting autographs, fast!" Cynthia barked, her plasma hair flaring as she kept her protective fire wall focused. "The floor is literally tearing itself apart!"

Ignoring the frantic bickering, Techyon stepped directly up to the colossal mechanism. His white-blue lightning crackled thinly over his palm as he raised his hand and forcefully pressed the stone Dragon's Head Button.

Click.

The mechanism sank into the dark structure. Instantly, the dormant purple sparks inside the carved dragon's eyes died out, replaced by a sudden, malevolent crimson glow. The stone jaws of the dragon ornament snarled, and the massive gate split down the middle, rumbling open into a pitch-black abyss.

[The Conceptual Erasure]

The moment the seal broke, a massive, apocalyptic wave of pure void energy detonated outward from the threshold. It wasn't a blast of wind or fire; it was a physical shockwave of absolute anti-matter pressure.

"Structures down!" Captain Carod roared as his heavy titanium frame was lifted off the ground.

The sheer force of the energy wave threw the entire Z-Elite roster backward across the platform like leaves in a storm. Saina, Ruta, Neweland, Gaia, and Lapis skidded across the silver obsidian, coughing as their protective shields shattered. Only Cynthia, driving her burning spear deep into the bedrock, was barely able to stand, her boots leaving smoking trenches in the floor as she resisted the vacuum.

Gaia struggled to push herself up, her system scanners blinking erratically. "What... what is this?! I can't even feel the mana level inside that room! It's completely blank!"

"Me too," Ruta and Neweland grunted together, their combined elemental perception returning absolutely nothing from the darkness beyond.

The silence that followed was suffocating. No one on the vanguard could sense the creature's mana level anymore—not even Cynthia, whose solar core usually mapped everything within thousands of kilometers.

Cynthia's face turned pale under her crown. "This is terrifying... even I can't feel the mana level. It's like looking into a bottomless ocean."

"You guys are lucky you can't feel it," Yoru whispered from the shadows, her dual-colored aura trembling violently for the first time in her career. Her fingers twitched as she clutched her head. "I can sense anyone's mana level using my advanced Mana Senses... and this is terrifying. We are outclassed by it by a far margin. It's not empty—it's just so dense our sensors are interpreting it as zero."

Techyon stepped beside her, his blades uncrossed. "I can also use Mana Senses, but I can't feel it either. Why?"

Yoru looked at him through her dark bangs, her voice tight. "Because you didn't master it properly yet, Techyon. Your system is filtering it out to protect your brain from frying."

Lapis dropped his casual posture, his face dead serious as his purple eyes spun at maximum velocity. "Yoru... can you tell us how powerful it really is? Give us a metric."

"Yeah, Yoru, tell us," Nefa urged, her daggers drawn as she stepped into a defensive stance. "What are we actually looking at?"

Before Yoru could articulate the horror she was sensing, Fraxy pointed a trembling hand toward the dark threshold. "Guys... look at the gate. Something there... is moving."

[The Unknown Calamity]

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Simultaneously, every single member of the Z Elite had their vision completely obscured by a flashing, blood-red administrative overlay.

[WARNING! WARNING!]

[VOID DRACHOON]

G-Glitch... sys_err_000x...

The status windows began to crack and pixelate, the text melting into corrupted code as the entity's presence overrode the dungeon's own translation system.

From the center of the dark gateway, a single, silent horizontal line of absolute blackness manifested. It didn't make a sound, but as it travelled forward, the bleeding nebula sky, the silver obsidian staircase, and the very dimensions of the Third Floor were cleanly sliced in half.

A conceptual slash was coming right toward them, cutting through the space-time fabric itself.
