Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Yes or No

Lila's POV

Night came faster than I wanted. After finishing my classes and thinking about everything that happened during the day, it was time for my other job - cleaning the boys' dorm.

I stood in front of my small mirror in my room, staring at my reflection while I changed into the tight black uniform. The short dress hugged my round belly and thick thighs, the white apron sitting snug over my heavy breasts.

I felt nervous, but not only because of the work.

I had been thinking about Jax's offer all afternoon. Lending me the money for Mom's hospital bills could solve everything right now. I couldn't get my salary early, and the administration had already turned me down. This might be the only way out. But on the other hand, I worried what other people would think. They might see me as a gold digger - a poor chubby girl getting close to the popular guys just for money. That thought made me feel small. I was already stuck between Jax, Theo, and Miles, and I didn't want things to get more complicated.

Still, my feet kept moving. I finished changing, took a deep breath, and walked to the cleaning room to get my cart and supplies. I decided to start with the trash like usual. It made the rest of the night easier if I got that done first. One by one, I knocked on the doors of the rooms on the first floor and asked the guys to hand over their trash bags. The usual teasing was still there - a few whistles, some rude jokes, someone calling me names under their breath. But tonight I barely heard any of it. My mind was somewhere else, replaying Jax's words in the library and the warm touch of his hand on my thigh.

After I finished collecting everything and took the bags out to the big bin behind the building, I went back inside. I looked around the hallways, hoping to catch a glimpse of Theo, Miles, or Jax, but none of them were around. The dorm felt quieter than usual tonight.

"What are you looking for, fat Lila?" a guy asked as he walked past me, laughing with his friend.

I stayed silent and kept walking. I had learned not to open my mouth to most of the guys here. The only ones I felt safe talking to were Theo, Miles, and Jax. Everyone else just made me feel smaller.

I continued my shift and went to the gym next. For some reason, there were dirty towels scattered everywhere today, like the guys had been having some kind of tournament or extra practice. I gathered them all into a big pile, my arms aching from the weight. Once I had everything, I carried the heavy load to the laundry room.

The laundry room was small and tucked away at the end of the hallway. I dropped the towels into the machine, added detergent, and was just about to turn it on when a sound behind me made me jump.

"Oh my god! Jax, could you not do that?" I said, pressing a hand to my chest. My heart was racing from the sudden scare.

Jax stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed. He was shirtless, sweat still dripping down his toned chest and abs from what must have been a late workout. The sight left me stunned. My mouth fell open slightly, and I couldn't stop staring. He looked so strong and confident standing there, the dim light shining on his skin. I felt like I had truly lost it for a second.

"Do what?" he asked with a small smirk. "I was just clearing my throat."

He stepped into the laundry room, closing the distance between us. I took a step back without thinking and bumped into the washing machine behind me. The machine had already started running, and I could feel the steady vibrations against my backside. The sensation made my body even more aware of how nervous I was.

"So... what's the answer?" Jax asked, his deep voice low. "I'm waiting for you, Lila."

He stopped right in front of me, so close that I had to tilt my head up to look at him. My back was pressed against the vibrating machine, and there was nowhere to go. My heart was beating so fast it felt like it might explode.

"I... I..." I stammered, feeling more nervous than ever.

"You?" he repeated gently, leaning his face closer to mine. "Tell me, Lila."

I swallowed hard. His closeness, the smell of his clean sweat, and the way he was looking at me made my wild fantasies rush back. I could feel myself getting wet again - fast and strong. The vibrations from the washing machine against my butt only made the feeling worse. Heat pooled between my legs, and my panties were already growing damp.

"I agree," I whispered finally.

Jax's face lit up with a big grin. "Good girl," he said softly.

Before I could say anything else, he cupped my cheeks with both hands, bringing my face closer to his. Then he kissed me.

My eyes widened in shock. His lips were warm and firm against mine. My whole body went stiff at first, my heart pounding so hard I thought it would burst. I had never been kissed like this. The nervousness made my knees feel weak, but as the kiss deepened, something inside me gave in. I closed my eyes and started kissing him back, shyly at first, then with more feeling.

Jax made a low sound in his throat and tilted his head, making the kiss even better. One of his hands slid from my cheek to the back of my neck, holding me gently while the other stayed on my waist. The washing machine continued vibrating behind me, adding to the overwhelming sensations. I felt completely lost in the moment - nervous, excited, and very turned on. My panties were soaked now, the wetness making me press my thighs together as we kissed.

When he finally pulled back a little, I was breathing hard. My lips felt tingling, and my face was burning hot. Jax rested his forehead against mine for a second, his breath warm on my skin.

"That's my girl," he whispered, his deep voice sending another shiver through me.

I didn't know what to say. My mind was spinning, my body was on fire, and I was drenched between my legs. The kiss had been better than anything I had imagined. But now that it had happened, reality started creeping back in. I had just agreed to his deal. He would lend me the money for Mom, and in return, I wouldn't ask him to leave me.

Jax smiled down at me, still holding my face gently. "You look even cuter when you're blushing like this."

I bit my lip, too shy to reply. The laundry room felt smaller, warmer, and much more private than before. The vibrations from the machine behind me kept reminding me how sensitive my body felt right now. I was soaked, aching, and still trying to catch my breath from the kiss.

Jax brushed his thumb across my cheek one more time. "We'll talk more later. Finish your shift, okay? I'll see you around."

He stepped back, gave me one last charming smile, and left the laundry room, leaving me standing there alone with the humming washing machine.

I leaned against the machine for support, my legs feeling weak. My heart was still racing, and the dampness between my thighs was impossible to ignore. I really was drenched - so wet that I worried it might show through my uniform if I wasn't careful.

I touched my lips with my fingers, still feeling the warmth of his kiss. Jax had kissed me. Me - the chubby cleaner. And I had kissed him back. The memory made my stomach flutter with nervous happiness.
