LEON'S POV
"You need to get married soon." My mother said getting up from the couch.
"I've been telling him about that but he won't listen," my father frowned, "he wants to keep being a playboy."
I rolled my eyes.
"Please dad, I don't wanna end up like you."
My mom turned, her left eye twitched.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Yeah, Leon, what's that supposed to mean?" My dad said mockingly.
A nervous chuckle slipped from my lips.
"Nothing. I am just not ready yet. I still haven't found the perfect one for me."
My mom rolled her eyes. "That's why we found them for you but you keep chasing them away with your terrible personality."
My personality wasn't terrible. And those girls were easy, it was clear that they only wanted me for my money. So I gave them a good fuck and some money.
But I obviously wasn't gonna tell my mother that, so I just nodded.
I didn't like this conversation.
My phone rang, I answered without looking at the caller ID.
"Hey man." Taylor's voice came from the other side of the phone.
"Taylor, what's up?" I stood up.
My mother motioned for me to sit down but I ignored her and walked a little further from them.
"A friend of mine said they saw Lucien and Olivia at a restaurant in Elysian Galleria."
Something twisted in my chest, sharp and bitter.
I clenched my fists and sucked in a sharp breath.
"Oh really?" I tried my best to sound like I didn't care.
Because I really didn't…right?
"Yeah, wanna go there?" He asked without missing a beat.
"Go there to do what exactly?" I questioned.
"Oh come on don't act like you don't wanna go and see what they're doing there."

"Alright. I will meet you there." I licked my lips.
"I am already outside your parent's place. Come out." I could see him in my mind grinning.
I chuckled, that was Taylor for you.
At least now I had an excuse to leave early.
"Don't you dare." My mother pointed her finger at me.
"I'm sorry mom but I have to go."
She frowned, shaking her head. I looked at my father for help but he looked away.

"I promise to come back and visit you soon." I moved closer and gave her a hug.
"You always do this." She pulled away, tears filling her eyes.
My heart clenched, I hated it when she cried.
I moved closer, wiping the stray tear away.
"Mom, please don't cry. I promise, I will come back soon." I kissed her on the cheek.
She reluctantly nodded her head.
"I'm leaving my car here, please have Mr Rick drop it home for me."
I glared at my dad as I walked out.

"Since when did you have spies in Elysian Galleria?" I arched my brow.
He gave me a side eye.
"I don't have spies. Just friends." He smiled.
I scoffed.
"Just friends, of course."
"Don't be a dick." He scowled.
I shook my head and looked out the window.
What was I even doing?
Going to the mall just to stalk a girl.
I was Leon fucking Park for goodness sake. I could get any girl I wanted.
So why? Why was I going this far for a maid?
Taylor turned to me the moment we pulled into the parking lot.
"Don't argue with him." He warned.
I rolled my eyes.
"Why would we argue, let's fucking go." I impatiently pulled the door handle.
Taylor stared at me. "Ok, Ok I get it. Now open the door."
He smiled and unlocked the door.
"Do you think they are even still here?" I asked, picking up the pace.
"Yeah, my friend said they left the restaurant some time ago but they are still here." He put his phone back in his pocket.
"So where are they?" I asked, annoyed by his late info. I didn't wanna go around looking for them like a fucking fan.
"Close," his eyes lit up and he pointed in a direction, "there. Come on, let's go before we lose them."
Taylor began speed walking, I followed behind him, trying to keep my cool.
This was all Taylor's idea, I didn't want to be here.
"Lucien." Taylor called.
They stopped in their tracks, but it wasn't just Olivia and Lucien anymore.
The moment my eyes fell on Olivia my jaw clenched, irritation flaring hot in my chest.
Taylor's smile dropped.
What the fuck was this bullshit?
"Hello." Emily grinned, waving her hand.
I furrowed my brows.
What was she doing here?
Taylor walked towards Olivia, just as he was about to take the shopping bags in her hands Lucien glared at him.
"Don't," he warned, "it's her job."
What the fuck did he say?
"What?" Taylor questioned a frown etched on his face.
How could he do this to her?
She was carrying five shopping bags in her left hand, three in her right hand and three on her shoulder.
She looked tired, her eyes were glossy.
She hadn't even healed properly and he was making her carry shopping bags for another woman.
"You heard me, Taylor." He looked between me and Taylor.
"Are you really going to be like this?" I questioned.
"Like what?" He smirked.
He was doing this on purpose.
Anger simmered under my skin.
"Lucien, you can't treat her like th…"
"Don't tell me how to treat my maid." He made sure to emphasize the word my.
"It's fine Taylor, it's not even that heavy." She let out a small smile.
How could she say that, anyone could tell that she was struggling.
I wanted to shake her, force her to tell him to fuck off, to tell him that she wasn't a fucking machine.
How could she stand there and smile?
"Guys, don't argue because of my bags," Emily interjected, "I can have my guards carry them for me."
Lucien turned his head and looked at her. "No. I offered to help, so she will carry them for you."
Olivia looked down at her shoes, her hands trembled.
Was she really not gonna say anything?
Was she gonna let them walk all over her like she was a fucking doormat?
Taylor looked at her, he turned to Lucien. I thought he was gonna say something but he kept his mouth shut.
I shook my head and pulled him away.
"Are they leaving because of me?" I heard Emily ask.
Lucien said something but we were too far away to hear.
I turned my head and they had started walking again, Olivia walked behind them looking like a cat that was doused in water.
She was so fucking stupid and so was I.
