My guardian has free time until April. Having passed her high school entrance exams, she's currently enjoying a long spring break at the Edo household. Though I do think it's a bit much that she skipped her own middle school graduation ceremony. Well, I get that it would've been a hassle to go all the way back to Tokyo just for that.
Anyway. My guardian has way too much time on her hands. So right now, she's throwing herself into housework even more energetically than usual—partly as bridal training. My mother already gave her full certification, saying there's nothing left to teach her. After finishing the cleaning, laundry, and dinner prep, she's taken to making sweets in her spare time. She's getting quite elaborate with it. I'm looking forward to today's snack. What will it be? Cream puffs? Pudding? Anything's fine. My guardian's sweets are delicious.
As for me… after several days of moving in, I'm now heading to my new middle school.
I've made the delinquent son from the house across the street—Bakugou Katsuki—my little brother. Calling the mother who carried and gave birth to you an "old hag"? What kind of nerves does this brat have? I won't forgive him until he fixes that language and attitude.
I know all about the rebellious phase. I learned about it at school. Come to think of it, I had one in my previous life too. I just failed to kill myself back then.
In this life? There's no reason for me to rebel against such wonderful parents. As a jujutsu sorcerer, of course I defy them—but only so my mother doesn't have to be scared anymore.
…Parents who don't cherish the child they raised deserve to die. If you can't treasure them, don't give birth in the first place. It's infuriating that such parents still exist in this era. The world has become so much easier to live in—why treat your own child so cruelly? Or with indifference? I just don't understand.
Yes. I still believe this: a child blessed with good parents has no right to call their mother an "old hag."
"By the way… where are we?"
I shook off my guardian's attempts to stop me and left our house (or rather, in front of the Bakugou house) without her. The familiar school building looks awfully far away. Hmm, strange? I thought I remembered the way…
Oh no. I boldly declared to my guardian, "I remember the route. I've been there before, so I'll be fine." I should have let her come with me. After all, I still don't really know how to use that smartphone thing.
"…You… don't know the way, do you…!? I had a feeling!!"
"If you thought so, then say something, brat. What a useless little brother."
Thanks to you, the school feels even farther. Glaring at me with that furious face won't do a thing. It's not scary at all. How cute. Just like a dog that barks a lot.
"Who the hell is your little brother!!"
"Talk big after you get stronger than me. Save the sleep-talking for when you're actually asleep, Bakugou."
But seriously, where is this place? It looks like a residential area… familiar, yet not… Ah, maybe I passed through here at night? Then it should be fine. I know how to get to Orudera Middle School from here. That way—just head in that direction.
"That's not the way! Where the hell are you going!!"
"…Then hurry up and guide me. We're going to be late."
"We're already late!! And let go of my hand already, you damn shorty!!!"
Huh?
"…What did you just say…?"
Shorty. That's… an insult for someone short in stature, right? Even now, this guy is still trying to ruin my mood. Should I curse him a little? Or maybe bind him with Red Binding so he can't open that mouth anymore?
He can't even shake off my hand that's still gripping his collar. Fine. Right now, I'll—
"Okay, that's enough."
"Ow!"
Who is it!? The rude person who just chopped me on the head from behind!! My mood is already terrible right now!! I don't know who you are, but I'll curse you too while I'm at it!!
