Firstly Aurevian enters into the room pressing the cobbled door inward. "Come with me." There is a superiority in Aurevian's voice as usual. Aeries, Teylor and Baelor follow him in silence not out of fear. There is an unknown respect and honor rising in their inner selves. They enter into the room. They find the room enough large to hold a meeting for twenty people at a time.
"Stand here," Aurevian speaks and moves forward without looking at them. He stops in front of a large chair. It is not looking like any normal chair rather it is similar with throne. It is hardly possible for them to figure out how this chair was made and which elements used here.
Aeries is looking out everything in the room. He finds the chair has a border of fire colored with red still the whole chair is made of black cobbled stone. It is rigid and firmly positioned on the floor. In front of the chair, there is a long table standing. Piles of files are resting on the table, important and insignificant though it doesn't bother to Aeries.
This particular scene reminds Aeries about his past self in the earth. That time he was not Aeries Vangrove. He was Alex Stubbs. Aeries finds out the similarities of the scene with the boss of the company who is burdened with files, folders and orders. Aeries is recalling his office memory unintentionally. Alex was a senior software engineer working in a private company. He lost his family in a car accident when he was ten years old. But his father was rich and left with certain amount of money in the state bank. On that money Alex passed his high school and moved to college and studied covering his academic fees by free-lancing.
All on a sudden an unwanted sound enters into Aeries' eye. He comes back to reality. The sound came from Aurevian.
Aurevian sits down on the chair. He notices Aeries being inadvertent what he was delivering about. He understands Aeries was not listening to his words all the time. "Did you listen what I told?" Aurevian rebukes Aeries with a loud voice.
Aeries nods down his head to admits his fault and replies in a soft tone, "Sorry, sir."
Aurevian turns to Teylor, "Can you repeat what I told all of you?"
"Yes, ser," Teylor confidently replies as he was eagerly waiting for this moment to come.
Aeries notices Teylor mentioning "Ser" not "Sir". It surprises Aeries a little bit. Previously he noticed "Maester" not "Master". He is thinking almost twitching his face, "Do these people love vowel more than constant?" Somehow he manages to hide his expression from Aurevian and other two members. He turns to Teylor and requests him to explain what Aurevian told them.
Teylor turns to Aeries after bowing his head toward Aurevian. Teylor starts explaining all the rules and regulations.
"You are bound to follow orders. You will be given missions to accomplish, starting from trivial cases to abnormal cases. Even you have to handle the case including finding cats and dogs, robbery, murder and so on. Monthly salary will be two Hellicon and five Vellin. After promotion it will be increased. We all, including you, will join us in 'BLACK LANTERN TASKFORCE' or 'BLT'. And-" Teylor stops as Baelor interferes.
He starts from where Teylor stopped. There is a deep dark tone in his voice, "And you will be the Occult Investigator under the supervision of Captain Duke Alter. We both will be assigned as Field Observer."
Aeries is listening all these attentively this time having no other thoughts clouding over his head. He couldn't understand when Ser Aurevian explained all these. Somehow he couldn't understand tworanks "Occult Investigator" and "Field Observer" totally. He confidently asks Aurevian about these two ranks.
Aurevian gives him a relaxing look while he was busy in signing documents laid in front of him on the table. "Occult Investigator actually handles the most cases of supernatural activities happening around Tharvoss country. But Field Observer is only confined to Eyle city." Then he takes a pause and is signing the documents fast.
No words pass among them. They are observing only Aurevian. They all get shocked the writing speed of him, faster than normal speed.
Aurevian uplifts his body with a relaxed motion and speaks to them, " You all are going to be provided with a black blazer, a dark greyish black shirt and dark pale blue matching with black pant and obviously a black fire emblem to symbolize that you are the members of Black Lantern Taskforce, in short form BLT."
He then presses a bell kept on the desk. After waiting for thirty seconds, Aeries sees two persons, a man and a woman, entering into the room pushing the door. There are three same dresses mentioned by Aurevian. After a while, a black trench coat man enters into the room. He is enough tall to spread his aura.
Aeries recognizes him. He is Captain Duke Walter. But there is a catch this time. He is not wearing any emblem, face of white tiger. This time he is wearing black fire emblem on his right chest. suddenly a thought runs through him previously mentioned by Captain Duke. Duke is holding a smoking tube in his left hand.
Aeries turns to Captain with a confusing look, "Where is Inquiry Adept, the lowest hierarch of the detective department?"
Captain Duke understands what Aeries is talking about but Teylor and Baelor couldn't realize any of this. Aurevian orders Duke, "Go on, you tell them about this topic."
"Yes there is Inquiry Adept. But it is not under Divine Fire department rather it is under Divine Animal. Under Divine Fire, there are five hierarchs in detective department. Field Observer, Occult Investigator, Arcane Agent, Inquisitor and lastly Cipher Inspector. And when you will become Cipher Inspector, you will have access to work collaboratively under the Divine Fire and Animal." He then takes a pause and takes a sip from the tube which is touching his moustache. A dark greyish vapor is circling over the head of Captain.
Baelor asks a question listening all these, "That means I and this short man are the lowest ranked members in this team?"
Aurevian replies without giving chance to Duke, "Exactly. But don't be so depressed." Then he warns Aeries not to be overwhelmed having the higher hierarch than others.
Aeries bows down his head to show gratitude and respect.
Duke offers them to take a seat and discuss while taking wine. Everyone except Aeries doesn't want to take wine.
Duke begins, "So you are now officially members of official department. If any violation gets found against terms and conditions, you will be sacked out of this team. Oh man I am always forgetting to tell a thing about this. Ser, did you tell this about before?"
Aurevian keeps down his glass and replies in a soft tone, "No, I am waiting for you to disclose about this."
Then Duke takes a sip from his tube and discloses, "Actually this team, Black Lantern Taskforce or BLT was created for first time, by two of us, me and Ser Aurevian. You are the first three members of this team. And remember you are not members of ordinary detective team. You are going to deal with some supernatural events of this world. I think you all have passed through these events last night."
Duke and Aurevian smile together like it is a funny part of the discussion. But other members are in trance what they have heard.
