Chapter 21 - CHAPTER 21

"Give it to me! Give me the holy oil!"

Li Qinwu smiled lightly.

"Don't get excited, buddy. I'm a businessman."

He rubbed his hands together as he looked at the psyker.

"Bring something in exchange."

---

The psyker blinked, confused.

"Exchange?"

Li Qinwu shrugged.

"Yes. Bring something of equal value. We've got as much holy oil as you want."

---

"Then… what do you want? Take anything here!"

The psyker's tone was blunt, almost childlike—his mind clearly still unstable from prolonged Chaos corruption.

---

Li Qinwu replied casually:

"How about you teach me psychic abilities?"

---

The psyker froze.

"Psionic… what is that?"

---

As expected in this world, he didn't even understand what he was using.

Li Qinwu continued:

"Teach me your powers. In exchange, I'll help suppress the demonic whispers."

---

The psyker's expression changed instantly.

"No! No!! Don't learn this!! It will show you hell! It lets demons crawl into your brain! It's evil!!"

He shouted violently, his already ruined body splitting open in fresh wounds from emotional instability.

---

Li Qinwu crossed his arms.

"Try using your power again. Do you still hear the whispers?"

---

The psyker hesitated.

Then he raised his hand.

---

A wall nearby suddenly detonated inward—like it had been struck by artillery.

A clean psychic burst.

No hesitation.

No distortion.

---

"…Gone?"

The psyker froze.

"…They're really gone!!"

---

In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, psykers draw power from the Warp—an ocean of unreality inhabited by Chaos entities. Without mental discipline, using this power inevitably attracts corruption, manifesting as whispers, hallucinations, and eventual possession.

This psyker had been suffering exactly that: constant auditory hallucinations that escalated into overwhelming psychic torment every time he used his abilities.

But now—

Silence.

---

"Hahahahaha!!"

The psyker suddenly laughed uncontrollably, repeatedly unleashing psychic blasts.

Walls collapsed.

Ground fractured.

The power he had always possessed—but never controlled—was now fully accessible.

---

Without the whispers, he could finally think clearly.

And that realization led to arrogance.

If I can use this freely… I'm invincible.

---

Li Qinwu observed him calmly.

Then said:

"Teach me psionic abilities, and I'll bring you more of this food next time."

He tossed another piece of holy bread.

---

The psyker caught it.

His expression shifted again—conflicted, unstable, but increasingly dependent.

---

Li Qinwu narrowed his eyes slightly.

"I know what you're thinking. You can try."

He said it casually.

"But I'm the only one on this planet who can suppress those whispers. Think carefully."

---

The psyker's thoughts visibly wavered.

He was already imagining control, containment, extraction—

But hesitation remained.

If he lost this man, the whispers might return.

---

Li Qinwu continued:

"I have three bottles of holy oil. About 450ml each. Hidden somewhere only I know."

"Teach me your abilities, and I'll give them all to you."

---

The psyker's eyes lit up immediately.

"Deal! Give them to me! I'll teach you!"

---

Li Qinwu nodded.

"Wait here."

He turned and walked downstairs.

---

The psyker followed instantly.

"I'm going with you."

---

Li Qinwu glanced back, then smiled slightly.

"Fine. Come."

---

With a Whoosh

---

They descended together.

Li Qinwu immediately headed toward the forest.

He began scavenging weapons from corpses.

---

The psyker watched him closely.

Suspicious.

Ready to react.

Warp energy began to gather subtly beneath his feet.

---

But Li Qinwu simply slung a gun over his back.

Then picked up another.

---

"Hey. What are you doing?" the psyker asked.

---

Li Qinwu didn't look up.

"Looking for money."

---

He continued collecting usable firearms.

Damaged weapons were discarded.

Low-quality ones rejected.

He selected only functional rifles.

---

Soon, several guns were strapped across his body.

---

He then turned to the psyker.

"You. Carry these."

---

Without hesitation, he began loading guns onto the psyker one by one.

The psyker did not resist.

He assumed this was part of the "transaction."

---

Li Qinwu continued scavenging.

More guns.

A backpack.

Ammo magazines.

Grenades.

---

Soon his load exceeded 60 kilograms.

His breathing grew heavy.

---

"Huff… huff… alright, let's go."

---

The journey began.

Li Qinwu struggled under the weight, alternating between running and walking.

The psyker followed effortlessly, sustained by psychic reinforcement.

---

Psykers in the Warhammer 40K universe can enhance physical strength, manipulate matter, and even briefly levitate by channeling Warp energy. When controlled properly, it functions as an all-purpose force multiplier.

---

Li Qinwu wiped sweat from his face.

"Dude… it's over 30 kilometers to my place. You should help me a bit."

---

The psyker considered briefly.

Then released a faint psychic field over Li Qinwu.

---

Instantly—

The weight vanished.

His body felt light.

Movement accelerated.

---

Li Qinwu exhaled in relief.

"Finally…"

---

To pass time, he asked:

"So what can you actually do now?"

---

The psyker, rarely having spoken to anyone before, answered honestly.

"I can release shockwaves that destroy walls."

"I can freeze bullets."

"I can move objects… and myself… briefly."

"I can strip flesh from bone at range… or drain blood from a body."

---

Li Qinwu listened carefully.

He was clearly impressed.

---

Then he asked:

"How did you learn it?"

---

The psyker hesitated.

Then answered:

"Some on my own… but most were taught by a demon inside my mind."

"It showed me how to use my powers… like ripping flesh, draining blood…"

His expression twisted with pain.

---

Li Qinwu's gaze sharpened slightly.

---

In the Warhammer 40K universe, corrupted psykers are often trained—intentionally or not—by Warp entities. The knowledge is real, but its purpose is corruption, turning users into conduits for Chaos.

---

The psyker continued walking, unaware of the deeper implications.

And Li Qinwu kept moving forward, carrying a mountain of weapons—

toward the extraction point.
