Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: After Everything

After coming home, everything felt different.

The same room.

The same walls.

The same house.

But nothing felt the same.

Her body was still weak.

Even simple movements felt heavy.

Walking took effort.

Standing for too long made her tired.

There were marks on her hands.

From needles.

From treatment.

They didn't hurt anymore.

But they stayed.

Like a reminder.

Days passed slowly.

She spent most of her time at home.

Resting.

Recovering.

Trying to feel normal again.

But normal didn't come back easily.

Her body was healing.

But inside—

things were different.

She had seen something she never thought she would.

Hospitals.

ICU.

Pain.

Fear.

And that feeling—

didn't leave.

Sometimes at night—

she remembered those moments.

The silence.

The machines.

The fear of not knowing what would happen next.

And especially—

her father's eyes.

That moment stayed with her.

She had never seen him like that before.

Strong outside.

But broken inside.

After some weeks—

she slowly started getting better.

Her strength returned little by little.

She could walk properly again.

Do small things on her own.

And then—

it was time to go back.

Back to school.

After almost two months.

The first day felt strange.

The same classrooms.

The same benches.

But everything felt different.

People looked at her.

Some out of curiosity.

Some because they knew what had happened.

She didn't say much.

She just sat quietly.

Like always.

When she met Kavya—

there was no need to explain anything.

Kavya already knew.

Her mother had informed the school.

And when she saw Aarvika—

she was emotional.

But they didn't say much.

They just sat together.

Sometimes silence says more than words.

Classes continued.

But Aarvika had missed a lot.

Lessons.

Tests.

Topics.

It wasn't easy to catch up.

But she tried.

Slowly.

Step by step.

She focused on her studies again.

Not because someone told her to.

But because she wanted to move forward.

After everything—

she didn't want to stop.

Her marks were not the same.

She couldn't perform like before.

But she didn't give up.

Because now—

she understood something deeply.

Life doesn't stop for anyone.

No matter what happens—

it keeps moving.

And you have to move with it.

Slowly—

things started becoming normal again.

Not completely.

But enough.

Enough to continue.

Enough to move ahead.

And maybe—

that was all she needed.

After everything slowly started becoming normal, life moved forward again.

School ended.
