Exactly how the medicines from Amazon Lily were better than the medicines of the 21st century?
The answer is simple. It's lifespan.
In the 21st century, humanity has found medicines, vaccines and antivenom for a lot of unfortunate circumstances. While medicines in the form of pills had a decent amount of self life, the same cannot be said for vaccines and antivenoms. In fact antivenoms had the least amount of lifespan and were very difficult to store. Vaccines were not much different either.
That's where Amazon Lily shined. They had developed vaccines and antivenoms that could remain effective and chemically the same for a long period of time. They were also easy to store. That's why it was possible for them to export those products in the first place. Many countries piled them for aristocrats. Only when the expiry date comes near they sell it to the commoners.
That was the main reason why Hancock had decided to come to Wakanda. They had practically stolen their years of research and development. Medicine was something that was necessary for human beings. That's why Hancock had tried to make them in a way that would keep their price as low as possible. In fact, every year Amazon Lily sends a lot of medical supplies to all over the world as aid for common people who cannot afford medicines. African Nations were not exceptions either. In fact Nations like Egypt and Sudan got additional medicines for malaria for free, this year when they requested aid. Even though these places were colonies of the European Nations, it was done in the name of charity.
If Wakanda would ever ask for medicine, Hancock would never refuse. That's because she wanted to build a good relationship with the 'technology advanced' country. But now that they have straight up reverse engineered their healthcare products and were producing them locally, what was stopping them from exporting it in the future?
There was a reason why patents existed.
"Who are you and what do you want, woman?"
Hancock looked at the small remote controlled tank like machine in front of her.
"I am Boa Hancock, from Amazon Lily. I am here because your country has reverse-engineered the health care products that our country had developed after years of research and is now mass producing them. If we follow international law then this is practically stealing. So I demand black panther to come forward and negotiate with me. Otherwise the entire world will know what vibranium is, and what kind of mine Wakanda is sitting on." Hancock kept her tone polite. But her words were straight up threatening Wakanda.
On the other hand T-Banka was livid after hearing Hancock. In his view, the international law regarding patents doesn't apply to Wakanda since it was an isolated Nation. On top of that they had not stolen anything. They had just reverse-engineered some of the medicines. So accusing them of stealing was disrespectful. It was like comparing those slavers to them. And it was the exact thing that angered him the most.
And the final straw was threatening them with vibranium.
These things should have been the secret of Wakanda. But now another nation has them. That means their security has been clearly compromised. And T-Banka didn't like that at all.
"We need to capture this woman! This is a national threat. All our peace and prosperity is on the line. I want every tanker and fighter to gather in the East valley. No matter what, we must capture that woman and figure out how in the world the outsiders learnt about vibranium!" T-Banka barked at the soldiers. Immediately the soldiers started moving. Armoured rhinoceros were prepared for assault.
It was as if they were going to fight France once again.
On the other hand Hancock simply destroyed the machine with a kick after she told her demands. And after that, she sent the signals to Tymon and Sabra to come to her through her wrist watch.
Hancock didn't have to wait for long before her trusted bodyguard arrived. And shortly after that the Army of Wakanda also arrived at the spot. Hancock was quite impressed after seeing the forces of Wakanda. Due to the valley being on the other side, the army couldn't surround them.
But their reaction changed when they saw Sabra and Tymon behind Hancock.
A man in a cat suit stepped forward. He was known other than T-Banka. First he looked at the stone statues of the soldiers lying on the ground after that he looked at the two monstrous creatures standing behind Hancock.
Fortunately T-Banka had enough brain to not attack out right. Otherwise Hancock would have turned the entire Army to stone before beginning the talk.
"Black panther…"
"White woman… What are the creatures behind you ?"
Hearing the question of the man in the cat suit, Hancock smiled. First of all she was quite happy that the cat suit man could talk in English. That means she doesn't have to use sign language to talk.
"They are meta humans. You can consider them genetically enhanced humans with supernatural abilities. They are my bodyguards. I had come here to talk like civilized people. Amazon Lilly might not have the vibranium mines like wakanda, but we are quite scientifically advanced ourselves, although our fields of advancement are different from yours…
So what do you think black Panther… do you want to talk and resolve the issue, or do you want to continue stealing?" Hancock asked the cat suit man.
"We are not stealing!"
"Unfortunately that is what we call the unauthorized production and distribution of a product that you did not invent on your own. And you're exactly doing that. And I am here to stop that. Amazon Lily doesn't have any intention of starting a meaningless war. But that doesn't mean we would tolerate things like theft.
So… how is it going to be, the easy way or the hard way ?"
"..." The cat suit man fell silent for a moment. Even though his tool under his pants was hard, he was shaking with anger.
"Capture that woman alive!" (In the language of wakanda)
"Sabra, Tymon, try not to kill. But don't get injured yourself either, while holding back." Hancock issued her own command.
""Understood, empress!""
Both of them side simultaneously as they charge forward.
