The return of their memories began on the morning of their birthdays.
In two distant parts of the kingdom, Kion and Aurelia collapsed almost at the same moment.
The pain came without warning.
It wasn't like an illness. It felt like their minds were breaking open.
Memories that didn't belong to children flooded their thoughts—ancient skies filled with stars, endless halls of light, distant worlds, battles that shook entire planets… and the calm face of a man known across the celestial realms as the Old One.
Both children trembled as the memories poured into them.
A strange pressure filled the air around them.
Servants in Kion's home felt the room grow heavy, as if the air itself had become thicker.
In Aurelia's house, a faint golden glow surrounded her for a brief moment before fading away.
But their parents didn't understand what was happening.
To them, it looked like nothing more than a terrible fever.
Kion's mother sat beside his bed, gently pressing a wet cloth against his forehead.
Her voice trembled.
"My poor boy… what happened to you?"
Kion's body shook slightly, his lips whispering words he didn't understand himself.
Fragments of names.
Places.
Voices from another lifetime.
His mother held his hand tighter.
"You'll be okay," she whispered softly."I'm here."
In another house across the kingdom, Aurelia's parents watched their daughter with the same worry.
Her father tried to stay calm, but the fear in his eyes was clear.
"It's just a fever," he said quietly, more to reassure himself than anyone else.
"She just needs rest."
Neither family could imagine that their children were remembering centuries of life.
Aurelia was the first to wake.
Two days later, her eyes slowly opened to the quiet light of morning.
For a moment, everything felt normal.
Then the memories returned.
Not violently like before.
But gently… like waves washing against her mind.
She remembered her life as Aurelia.
Her parents.
Her home.
Her childhood.
But beneath those memories was another life.
A life far older.
A life where she stood beneath endless stars with wings of light behind her.
A life where she was an Archangel.
Her hands trembled as she sat up.
"So… it wasn't a dream," she whispered.
Just then, a soft glow appeared in the air before her.
Light slowly gathered until it formed the shape of a familiar figure.
The Old One.
It was only a recording he had left behind long ago.
But seeing him again made her chest tighten.
"Aurelia," the projection said gently.
"If you are seeing this, then your memories have returned."
She stared at the image, unable to speak.
"You were once an Archangel of the Celestial Universe."
His eyes softened slightly.
"But before that… you were human. Just like all of us."
He continued calmly.
"Five hundred years after I first entered the Celestial Universe, the greatest humans from many worlds were reincarnated there."
"Some became Watchers."
"Others became Archangels."
"And among them… you were one of the strongest."
Aurelia lowered her eyes slightly.
"But even before that," the Old One said quietly,"you and I already knew each other."
Her chest tightened.
"You were always beside me."
"You protected me… even when you didn't need to."
A faint warmth appeared on Aurelia's cheeks.
The Old One gave a small smile.
"And when I chose to reincarnate into this world…"
"You insisted on following me."
The projection flickered softly.
"We left messages for each other before we were reborn."
"And Kion did the same."
Then his voice became more serious.
"But remember this."
"The connection between you and Kion will only awaken when your minds are perfectly in sync."
The light slowly faded away.
Aurelia sat alone in the quiet room.
Her heart beat faster than before.
She wiped the corner of her eye quickly.
"You really are impossible…" she whispered softly.
But despite her words, there was relief in her voice
Kion's awakening was much harder.
His memories were older.
Much heavier.
He had lived longer than most beings in the Celestial Universe—even longer than many archangels.
His body struggled to endure the flood of returning memories.
While Aurelia recovered in two days…
Kion remained trapped in a burning fever for three full days.
His parents barely left his side.
On the third night, his eyes finally opened.
His head felt heavy, as if centuries of memories were pressing down on him.
Images flashed through his mind.
His human life.
The moment he became a Watcher.
Standing beside the Old One across countless worlds.
Then suddenly a soft light appeared in front of him.
A hologram formed in the air.
A figure with white wings slowly appeared.
It was Aurelia, but not as she was now.
This was her Archangel form.
"Kion," she said softly.
"If you're seeing this… then your memories finally returned."
Kion blinked slowly.
"You always wake up later than everyone else," she added with a small teasing smile.
Then she said his name again.
"Kion."
The moment she said it, the tips of her ears in the recording turned slightly red, as if she had suddenly realized how personal it sounded.
She quickly looked away for a moment before continuing.
"You are not as powerful as you once were."
"But some of your energy remains."
Her expression became serious.
"We were supposed to meet again at fifteen."
"But something may change."
"So we should meet sooner."
"At the age of thirteen."
Her wings shifted slightly as she finished speaking.
"And until then… don't do anything reckless."
There was a protective tone in her voice.
Almost like she was worried about him.
The hologram slowly disappeared.
Kion stared at the empty air for a long moment.
Then he let out a small tired laugh.
"You're still worrying about me…"
A few days later, after both children recovered, their families decided to celebrate the birthdays they had missed.
Candles were lit.
Food filled the tables.
Laughter returned to the homes.
During the celebration, Kion's father smiled and said,
"Some old friends of ours will start tutoring you soon."
At the same time, in another house far away, Aurelia's parents told her something very similar.
"We asked some old friends to help guide your studies."
Neither child thought much about it.
But the parents quietly glanced at letters resting on their tables.
In Kion's house, the envelope carried the names of Aurelia's parents.
And in Aurelia's house, another letter held Kion's family name.
Both families had known each other once.
Long ago.
But none of them explained why.
Days passed quietly.
One night, Kion tried using the communication ability mentioned in the recordings.
He focused his mind, trying to reach the connection he once shared with Aurelia.
But nothing happened.
The bond required both of them to reach out at the exact same moment.
Until their thoughts aligned perfectly…
The connection would remain silent.
Yet deep within their souls…
Two ancient beings were slowly waking.
The Watcher.
And the Archangel.
And before they reached the age of thirteen…
Their paths would cross once again.........
