"Yes, Your Highness," the butler bowed respectfully, stepping back into the shadow of the palace corridors as Gideon turned to finalize the plans with Micah.
Adeline finally reached the bottom of the grand staircase, her quiet footsteps drawing their attention as she stopped beside Gideon. "Won't Tiger be joining us?" she asked, looking between the two men.
"Tiger is already on his way," Micah replied, adjusting his tactical gear. "Though I have to admit, I didn't expect him to accompany us on this specific run."
"We can't afford to leave ourselves unprepared," Gideon stated firmly. "Drystan, who once led the hunters, confessed that he was under the direct manipulation of the witch. I'm highly suspicious that the driver who told Adeline and me about the fountain is working for her as well. If we are going there, I want to go prepared."
