"Don't you wish to see Ensley on the throne?" Presley asked, her voice hardening. "I wanted you to marry into a family that could help secure your brother's succession to the throne in the future."
"I don't think Brother Ensley would ever want that. Why must you kill an innocent person just to reach your ambitions?" Edith looked into her mother's eyes, her expression deeply troubled.
"To give happiness to one of your children, you were willing to completely ruin the life of the other. I always looked up to you as my role model, Mom. But after that incident, everything is destroyed. I finally realize why Brother Gideon became the way he is today. His hatred toward you is entirely valid."
She took a few steps back, shaking her head, before turning around and walking out in a flash of anger to head straight back to her chambers.
As Edith turned the corner, quickly wiping at the corners of her eyes to brush away her tears, she collided straight into Ensley.
