The Luna Queen sat regally on the main sofa as her three children settled onto the chairs across from her. She gave a nod to her head attendant, who bowed and quickly led the other servants out of the drawing room, shutting the heavy doors behind them.
"Mother, why did you call us here right after breakfast?" Edith asked, glancing briefly at her siblings in confusion.
"None of you will do anything that could bring even the slightest harm to either Gideon or Adeline," the Queen stated.
The three siblings exchanged bewildered looks.
"Mom, did Dad force you to say that? He even punished you this time. Surely, he must have threatened you," Ensley remarked with a slight sneer.
"Your father and I had a very serious conversation. And since then, I have spent time contemplating where exactly I went wrong in raising the three of you," the Queen replied, ignoring her son's tone.
