Magic world
In this world, there is magic. Many tyes of magic: ice magic, fire magic, water magic, levitation magic..etc. some have two or maybe even three types of magic.
The story go back years. Liu who was adopted by the shilan family at the age of 6.
The genius among geniuses was very well known.
She was admitted to the school of The school Sablethorne Magic school at just the age of 10. Which was quite the impressive because the youngest age for the sablethrone magic school was 14.
She was an expections. Even the professor there said that she might be the next el tiana.
Everyone who was admitted to the sablethrone school has to stay in dorm. They can't meet their family much.
The school only see's the talent they don't care if they are noble blood or not. The things that only matters in their is their score and what they can bring to school.
Liu the youngest student ever to get admitted to the school of sablethrone was as expected treated with discrimination.
Even if she was talented she was not a noble blood. Nobles didn't like her at all. Even if the school didn't discriminate students did especially nobles.
But liu was also not treated well by the commonar too. Because commonar regarded that she is a noble blood. She was rejected from both the sides.
There liu meet some people who were quite annoying so some were not. Later did she know they were going to be the best person she was going to meet.
"Zia, khushi, kirti and Harley" were the names of her friends which she meet in school. They were princess and some commoner.
Zia is a noble blood but not like other noble. She is rebellion she don't listen but she is calm like the sea. Zia power is water type. She can control the water.
Khushi, the type of friends everyone needs. She is a commonar. Her father is a local merchants.
She is funny and energetic type. Her magic is fire. She can control it she can make it her own. She can make the fire really big or really small too.
Kirti, she is a genius too. Her father is the second man of the emperor. Her mother is one of the adviser of the emperor. She can control animals.
Harley, the mysterious one. She don't talk much.she has shadow magic. She can control the shadow's of people.
Feeling lost in the war of commoners and nobles and getting rejected by both, liu was lonely.
In the night, when liu was sleeping in her dorm. She heard a voice.
The halls of Sablethorne were never truly silent.
Even at night, when the torches dimmed and the students retreated into their dormitories, something always lingered—like the castle itself was breathing.
Liu lay awake on her narrow bed, staring at the ceiling.
The events of the past days replayed in her mind.
The whispers.
The stares.
The distance.
Not noble. Not commoner.
Nowhere.
She turned to her side, pulling the blanket closer.
"Why does it matter…" she murmured under her breath.
But it did matter.
A faint sound broke through the silence.
"…come…"
Liu's eyes snapped open.
She sat up slowly.
"…come…"
This wasn't imagination.
The voice was soft—almost like wind brushing against stone—but it felt close.
Calling her.
She slipped out of bed, careful not to wake anyone, and stepped into the corridor. The cold stone floor sent a chill through her feet, but she didn't stop.
"…come…"
The voice echoed again.
Each step she took felt heavier, yet she couldn't turn back.
The corridors grew darker the further she went.
The torches here burned low—some completely extinguished.
She stopped.
In front of her, stood a large iron door.
Marked.
Symbols were carved across its surface—twisted, unfamiliar, ancient.
"This place…" Liu whispered.
Students weren't allowed here.
She knew that.
Everyone knew that.
"…come…"
Her hand moved before she could think.
The moment her fingers brushed the door—
⚡ The symbols glowed.
A faint pulse of light ran through them, like they had been waiting.
Liu froze.
"…why is it reacting to me…?"
Footsteps.
Her heart jumped.
Voices approached from the other side of the hallway.
She quickly slipped behind a broken pillar, holding her breath. Gasping for air as she has been attacked.
"…we don't have much time."
The voice was low. Firm.
Another voice followed—calm, but tense.
"It shouldn't be happening this soon."
Liu peeked slightly.
Two professors stood there… and with them, a figure dressed in rich, dark robes—a noble.
"…the signs are clear," the noble said. "The awakening has begun."
Liu's chest tightened.
Awakening…?
"We must act before it becomes another El Tiana."
That name.
Her mind froze.
El Tiana.
The greatest mage in history.
Or… that's what she had always been told.
"What happened last time cannot repeat itself,"
one professor said sharply.
The noble's voice dropped even lower.
"She was not a savior. She was a threat."
Liu's eyes widened.
"…what?"
"They feared her power," the noble continued. "And rightly so. No one should possess that kind of magic."
Silence.
Then—
"If it appears again… we will control it."
A pause.
"…or destroy it."
Liu's breath caught in her throat because what she been told is that she is the savior of people. She couldn't understand it.
Then
A sudden warmth spread through her hand.
She looked down.
A faint glow.
Not fire.
Not water.
Not anything she had ever seen.
The symbols on the door flickered again.
Brighter this time.
"…someone's here," one of the professors said suddenly.
Liu's heart stopped.
Footsteps turned toward her direction.
She didn't think.
She ran.
Her footsteps echoed louder than she wanted.
"Stop!" a voice shouted behind her.
She turned sharply into another corridor, nearly slipping.
Her breathing grew uneven.
"Why are they talking about El Tiana like that…?"
"Why did the door react to me…?"
"Why—"
She collided into someone.
"Oof—!"
Strong hands caught her before she fell.
"…you should really watch where you're going."
Liu looked up.
Harley.
Her expression was calm as always—but her eyes were sharp.
Observing.
"You're out late," she said.
"So are you," Liu shot back quickly.
A brief silence.
Harley tilted her head slightly.
"…something happened."
It wasn't a question.
Liu hesitated.
She wanted to speak.
To tell someone.
But the words wouldn't come out.
"…it's nothing," she said finally.
Harley stared at her for a moment longer.
Like she didn't believe her.
But she didn't push.
"…fine," she said quietly. "Just don't get caught.
The night guards aren't kind."
She stepped aside.
Liu nodded and walked past her.
But as she did—
"…Liu."
She stopped.
"If something is wrong," Harley said, not looking at her, "you don't have to handle it alone."
She didn't reply.
And kept walking.
Back in her room, Liu sat on her bed in silence.
Her hand trembled slightly.
She raised it slowly.
That same strange glow appeared again.
Faint.
Unfamiliar.
Alive.
"…El Tiana…"
The name felt different now.
Heavier.
Darker.
Liu closed her hand tightly.
"If this is what they fear…"
Her voice was barely above a whisper.
"…then what am I becoming?"
