Veneol's grin widened, and he raised his left arm. The ground around him trembled, and an aura surrounded it. Within it, a humanoid creature emerged. It had crimson eyes, massive maws, and saliva grotesquely dropping from its mouth.
Following that, another creature emerged, unlike the humanoid one, it walked on all fours, its blue eyes glowed in the darkest hours of the night.
"Three against one… It's only this way~" Veneol spoke. The air around him intensified.
"That's beyond our expectations," Jin spoke, laced with irritation. Clearly, he was annoyed, and no one could blame him. They didn't expect to fight the SS+ rank alone. But things have changed, prompting a focus on the new arrival.
"Jin, you take the beast one, I'll handle the humanoid." He spoke all serious and paused for a moment, and continued.
"Ed, I feel sorry we believed the only opponent would be Veeneol its unexpected situation…So don't die," Evans spoke, his expression unreadable.
"It's alright..I have to do is beat his ass!" Ed spoke in a cold voice as he stepped forward.
"Don't disappoint me, human," Veneol said.
In that exact moment, black spikes erupted devastatingly, desolving everything in their way. The spikes were abnormally long,g and blackness enveloped them in a way that sent a chill running down Ed's spine, but regardless, he steeled himself for whatever would befall him.
Without warning, a crushing pressure descended on the battlefield.
The source was Veneol himself. His fist was enveloped in a dark purple aura of spirit energy, which was condensed like a mass.
Veneol leaped toward Ed, leaving sparks on his tracks. As if a lightning-fast meteor were colliding.
Ed took a defensive posture, but it was of no use. Veneol surpassed Ed in raw strength, sending Ed flying miles away.
But he didn't stop there, he chased him as he was hurled, but Ed barely got his footing and enveloped his body with soul spirit energy.
BOOM!!!
A deafening Metal striking sound tore the air.
Metal struck against the fist of flame. Not ordinary flame gray flame. Evans and the humanoid creature were engaged in close-range combat. For a mage, close combat was supposed to be a great disadvantage, but in Evans case, the laws seemed to disobey reality itself. Mages were far weaker in physical ability, but Evans proved that theory wrong.
Evans had a great sword. Dark blue aura of spirit energy coiled around it. Unlike Veneol, these nightmare creatures were half of his strength, meaning they were weaker, but Evans didn't dare underestimate their capability.
And it came true.
Fwoooshh!
The humanoid creature opened its maw wide, and strange gray flames shot toward Evans.
Slash!
Evans unleashed a spirit energy condensed strike, but it struck nothing. The gray flame was supposed to be erased with the clash, but the clash never happened. The slash transpired within the flames as if it never existed.
"What the hell is that gray flame?" Evans muttered under his breath as he jumped sideways. The gray flame shone in the area, but Evans was lucky to avoid the strike before it could even hit him. When the flame had vanished, the area it struck was slowly decaying.
"This is not an ordinary flame!" Evans said, focusing his attention on his enemy. Its expression was horrible, as if mocking Evans.

"This fucking mutt!" Jin cursed as he wielded two draggers. But they weren't ordinary ones; they each had elemental abilities. The draggers are shaped like a lunar. Condensed energy erupting in a chaotic manner, which meant Jin still struggled to control them.
The beast leaped at him and slashed its claw horizontally.
Jin didn't make his move; instead, he waited until the beast was before his face. When it did, he swiftly dodged the claws and struck with the daggers in a cross shape. The beast leaped backward, and from within its mouth, a filthy creature emerged. They were black slimes. Grotesque, they moved in a snail manner. All of a sudden, they started screaming, and they burst as black liquid formed mid-air, and they surrounded the beast. It formed like a gear overhead the beast.
"What the hell is that strange thing above its head?" Jin pondered, but he didn't have the luxury of time.
The beast leaped and struck Jin in the shoulder and drew blood. Jin gritted his teeth and kicked the beast, sending it crashing far away.
Then, red sigils formed on the beast's body. Its body began to stir and twist in a manner that lacked the threat. Then, without warning, its body grew large, far larger than the humanoid creature Evans faced. It now stood on its legs, its face turned like earthworms. Its face was now all sharp maws, no eyes or ears.
"What the hell is that creature???" Jin appeared disgusted, and fear had taken form.
"I…I don't want to use that thing?" Jin spoke as he looked above at the sky as if recalling a memory, then he refocused his attention on the beast. Now he bore an expression unlike before; if he had an expression of hopelessness, he lacked emotion.
"So, that's what you want, huh?" He spoke, and a twisted grin appeared on Jin's features. He took out his daggers, but the next thing he did shocked everyone present.
"Let's see if you can still laugh!!" Jin laughed to the top of his lungs as he drove the twin blade inside his own body. It was as if he went mad, striking his own, but it wasn't, it.
Soon, blood flowed from his body. Jin didn't move, still the blade drove on both sides of the torso, barely avoiding his heart.
A pool of blood formed beneath his feet.
Red aura enveloped him. His eyes became milky white with a blue hue, and inside those eyes, there was a "G" sign on his pupils.
Out of nowhere, shadows engulfed the battlefield. Black, sharp objects formed in mid-air. The black drew in the direction where Jin stood. Then he lifted his gaze toward the beast and spoke in a calm, serene voice.
"Shadow aspect: Red moon."
