—Cael Lucian
"You skipped some details eh Ezron~" Violet the Pillar of Continuation suddenly muttered, stopping Ezron in his tracks.
"Oho~ You're lying Ezron???" Kiana asked, voiced slightly curious
"No—Ugh… fineee you got me."
"So how did you know?" Kiana suddenly asked a rather important question. After all, they did promise not to interfere…
"Well… " Ezron's eyes were glancing at some people.
"I helped him."
"??? Klein ??? You helped him??? When?? How did I never notice???" her voice shocked to which Klein only replied. "Your painfully aware and oblivious at the same time. It's rather easy."
—Klein Moretti, The Past
We specifically have to go back when I was listening in to their conversation.
"When I first came here,""I asked him what he wanted in return. For the room. The food. The protection. I asked him three times. I was—I was ready to negotiate. I thought I knew how these things worked."
"Honestly sameeee I thought so to" The elf girl continued. "Humans are quite lustful creatures after all, they have so much… 'preferences'"
Nod Nod
The Angel and Devil girl only nodded then the mermaid girl suddenly said, "I came to his bedroom a few times wearing very revealing clothes, after all even from where I'm from humans only care for beauty in their own twisted way."
"I looked at him as I locked the door and struck what I believed was the most seductive pose that would make any human fell for me, after all humans somehow seem to always like those from different races."
"He gave me a smile, I was ready honestly, I was at a pretty bad spot after all"
"We all were, our dignities and pride ready to be sacrificed that was how bad it was after all" The Elf girl said in response. "Do you regret it?" The human girl asked. "Well…" At that moment Ezron looked like he was about to quite literally murder everything.
I could hear his thoughts after all, using Error and Fool it was a simple thing, and without hesitation he did indeed reveal himself, right in front of all those girls and the other him who was still washing the cat beast woman.
"To think this is how I become in the future. I'm disappointed in you 'me'." a voice laced with disappointment and a hint of fury, those words seemed to echo throughout the entire bathroom. And without hesitation, they moved.
SWISH
CLANGGGGG
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
The Angel and Demon struck first, one holding what looked like a sword made of pure light the other using her claws that glowed a demonic red as both struck Ezron without a shred of hesitation of course. In the end.
What can a mere Angel and Demon do against a Pillar?
Oh but the others didn't just stand still.
"Grow." "ENCHAIN"
WHIIIIPPPP CLANGGGGGGG
Glowing chains made of mana dyed in blue and vines from the entire bath house rushed to coil him trying to restrict his movements. And of course you know how Ezron is. He really loves to show off his powers.
In a way you truly are childish.
—The Present
"Am not, it's cool I need to show my status as a Pillar after all."
…
"Why are all of you looking at me like that?"
"You're so childish and cute after all~" said the Pillar of Recollection, almost instantly it earned her a stare from everyone else in the room.
"What? Can't a cute girl like me say something like that?"
"You know you are quite childish to right?" Kiana
GLANCE
Said attention instantly shifted to her, even Elysia and Ezron was staring at her, are you serious? I couldn't help but voice my thoughts out as well.
"Kiana. I truly respect you as a friend and family member as well but—Oh-?" Her eyes died… The urge to scream Leodero.
Sigh
We'll be right back now :P
—
"Right continue continue," Kiana said as she waved her hand and took another sip of the tea, her dignity must be in crumbles right now, hmmm I wonder what does Cael think of us right now? I thought to myself as I used Error to steal his thoughts temporarily.
What the fuck.
…
Honestly… If I was him I'd be screaming Leodero already.
—Cael Lucian
What the fuck… Like I know these guys are technically well, beings that can you know destroy the world but…
"Kiana? Kiana? Ah she fainted."
"How does someone like her faint.?"
"Huh. didn't expect her to go down"
"Heh~"
"Should we wait?"
"Ehhhh… sure"
"What about my story?"
"You can continue, I'll fill in for Kiana later" Thus—the story continues.
—The Present
"Useless." said the Pillar of Cohesion as he willed his magic and completely dispelled the chains and vines, no matter how powerful you are, the fact is the Pillars themselves represent 5 symbols that keeps everything going.
WHIIIING
STAB
Without hesitation he struck his powerless self and watched as he fell limp in the ground, and perhaps with the audacity he went.
"I the Pillar of Cohesion have freed you from your suffering. Now go free you slaves and live your life to the fullest Ha Ha Ha." Applause. Cries at that moment that was what filled his head, I knew since I looked around with Error.
And yes indeed he heard cries—Just not the one he was expecting.
"NO" A scream. high pitched, not one that was said as if out of shock, but out of concern.
"NONONONONONONONONONONONO" The words hit Ezron like a physical blow. He had expected gratitude. He had expected relief. He had expected these women to look at their fallen "master" and realize they were finally free.
What he got instead was the cat beastwoman clutching the body, her fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt, her shoulders heaving. Her tail—which had been swishing contentedly just moments ago—hung limp and still.
"Wake up," she whispered. "Wake up. Wake up. Why aren't you waking up?"
The vampire was already at his side. Her seductive pose gone. The nun's habit meant nothing now. She pressed her hands against the wound as she forced his blood to return to his body
"You're okay," she said. Her voice was calm. Too calm. The calm of someone who hadn't yet accepted what she was seeing. "You're okay. You just fainted. You work too hard. You always work too hard. You just need to rest. You just need to—"
Yet there was no response.
"Someone get a doctor," the human girl said. She was standing very still. Her hands were at her sides. "Someone get a doctor. Someone get a—why isn't anyone getting a doctor?"
"Because—" The demon's voice cracked. "Because—"
The demon couldn't answer. She was staring at the body. At the wound, her eyes wouldn't move nothing would, her thoughts as chaotic as ever, the angel was doing the same. I heard that angels and demons from this world? they can see the soul.
And their thoughts? It was simple really. Where is his soul where is his soul
"He's just tired," the angel said. She knelt beside the vampire and took the ordinary Ezron's hand. His fingers were already cooling. "He's just tired. He's been working so hard. You know how he is. He never sleeps properly. He's just—he's finally getting some rest. That's all. That's all it is."
None of them looked like they were accepting reality.
"No. No. No. Nononononono" The mermaid girl on the other hand was already panicking without a single stop, and the irony of this all? Ezron, the Pillar of Cohesion was still stuck in his day dream, thinking he'd just free them from slavery.
—Cael Lucian, The Present
"You." No words could describe what I was feeling… Even if I know the reason, all it does was simply reminding me of the past, a saying I remembered the Old man once said. Scars never go away.
"I was wrong. I know that well, as one of the 5 Pillars of this world, yet using that power with such irresponsibility, there's no defending me."
…
"So you time slipped right?"
Silence
"You didn't-???"
"I suppose I'll have to explain it from here." said Klein Moretti.
—The Past.
At the time at the very least, his thoughts were far too chaotic, to be exact, when he the Pillar of Cohesion finally realized what happened, his very first thought? A Panic attack
"What-?" I suppose I will have to narrate his inner thoughts using "[]" this.
[Why aren't they celebrating? I killed 'me' they should be free now]"
The cat beastwoman pressed her forehead against the body's chest. "Please," she whispered, you could hear the tears and snots in her voice
"Please. I'll be good. I'll stop sneaking into the kitchen at night. I'll stop scratching the furniture. I'll take baths without complaining. Please. Please just wake up. Please."
[Why aren't they happy? They should be happy. I freed them from their opressor, myself]
"Please." The vampire was still pressing her hands against the wound. Blood magic, Ezron barely noticed. She was using blood magic to try to force his circulation to resume. But the heart wasn't beating. The blood had nowhere to go.
She was pushing against a closed door and refusing to believe it was locked. No to be exact. He had erased his clone from existence, by ending him right there denying his existence, by letting his existence fade away. He is the Pillar of Cohesion after all.
"Come back." The mermaid girl said, tears forming like a waterfall, the human girl on the other hand? she was silent, frozen in place, not crying not saying a single word, Emotional numbness. I'm sure that's what we called it at Baidu…
"He paid for my degree." The human girl suddenly muttered. "I was homeless. I was going to drop out I was going to commit suicide, and then he came. Took me in. He said he'd pay for everything"
[But they talked about how they were ready to—]
"Dad. Come back."
[Dad-? They aren't even humans how would they be—I I I I what have I done-?]
"What kind of dad has daughters of different races?" Those words came out involuntarily from him, yet the response coming was also as quick. "What kind of man are you to judge him like that?" said by all of them in unison.
Tears in their eyes blood of different colors as the gripped his lifeless body and themselves as strongly, tears still flowing, the sobs still coming and Ezron? His mind? It was having a seizure.
[No I did the right thing, no but would they cry like this? did I do the right thing? What have I done?] And endless rambling of those words, even though he could just time slip and not do it. Now it's true that Kiana told us not to interfere.
But I decided to use divination, and well thank the Evernight Goddess I did, of course as the Pillar of Deviation I could not exactly do 'True' healing so I asked Violet, to which she only replied in the same way. "Hoh~ Interesting…"
And in the end as I looked at how the situation was quickly devolving and the urge to scream Leodero in me rising…
Sigh
"Violet." as I said those words an illusory door had already opened behind me as grey fog engulfed everything, and from it? a small figure could be seen with a smirk in her face. Her eyes already glowing gold.
"On it~"
